Jody Knol WKAR Radio 90.5 FM Classical HostWhat keeps you invigorated about your work at WKAR?
After my wife, Aleda, passed away a year ago, I took several months off from work to travel and to begin working through my enormous loss. As time went on, listeners began contacting the station asking when, and if, I would be coming back. I planned to return all along, but having people wanting me back on the air was a huge motivation for me and touched me deeply. The listening audience and I have developed a strong bond over the past three decades. And now, given the state of our country and our world, more than ever we need the unifying art of music to bring us together, to calm us and clear our minds, to comfort us, and give us hope.
