EMISSION: Food related part of total CO2
emissions in the U.S. per person a year. OBESITY: One out of three U.S. citizens shows signs of obesity.
POPULATION: Austin, TX doubles its population every 20 years.
INCOME: 30% of the average Americans income is spent on food.
HISTORY: For every acre of land cultivated in a high-rise urban farm, 10 to 20 acres of current cropland could go wild. IMPORT: By 2050 Austin would inhabit nearly 3.3 million people. To feed a city that size, one would need to import 2,2 tons (as shown above) of food every day.
HEALTH: Numbers of years you can live longer with the help of a healthy diet.
