Sea Gardens Condo Association Newsletter February 2015 For those of you who do not get to the condo much during the winter, here is a shot on Jan 27, 2015 after the blizzard that fizzled. New Since Last Newsletter The condo board had its December meeting where the annual budget is approved and the association fees are set. As you heard previously from Surf Site, there was no fee increase this year. Yay! With many major projects finished recently it seemed like a good time to pause and just concentrate on minor improvements. Special thanks to Jim Ott (President) and TJ Pikowski (Treasurer) for matching the budget to the income. You should also have received from Surf Site a copy of our formalized rules regarding the basement storage areas. With the potential of legal problems and safety issues if the storage areas are used inappropriately, the board wanted to bring together the rules and justifications in one document. Don’t forget to provide Surf Site with a storage room key (one of the formalized requirements). The other recent change is the new mailbox. It certainly seems like a nice improvement to me. Thanks again, Jim. Plans for 2015 I will only mention some of the issues the board is planning to address in 2015. (I have to save some for future newsletters!) Weather seal the new wood back stairs Install awnings over the new stairs at the third floor. Rain drippings on levels 2 & 1 have been a complaint. Finish the gas line outside pipe replacement project where we connect to the meters. Tom Burtnett, Newsletter editor
