1. Before Start Using

Thank you very much for purchasing from us. This manual shows the method and operation of installing SDK-AcapLib2, and notes for those.

1-1 Related Documentation Documents related to this document are as follows and please refer to the manual of the frame grabber that is used.

2. Environment Conditions

The environment conditions of the SDK-AcapLib2 is shown below.

OS Microsoft Windows XP (32bit/64bit) Microsoft Windows 7 (32bit/64bit) Microsoft Windows 10 (32bit/64bit)

Supported Frame grabber

APX-3302 Series, APX-3323 Series、APX-3324A, APX-3326A

APX-3312, APX-3313, APX-3318, APX-3311

3. Installing each software

This chapter describes the method and precautions when installing each software.

3-1 Before installation Before installation of each software, please check the following items. 1. If there is the "Detect Non-Compliance Device" in the BIOS setup item, please set enable. 2. If there is saving power of the CPU(C-State etc) in the BIOS setup item, please set enable. 3. Please use the latest BIOS and chipset drivers. 4. Please login to OS at administrator. 5. The 3GB option is not supported at 32bit OS. If 3GB option is Enable, it set disable. 6. If "UAC" is Enable, please set Disable. 7. Please disable the sleep mode, hibernate and turn on fast start-up. 8. If it has been installed old version of the SDK-AcapLib2 to your PC, please the to first uninstall it.

Please be sure to check the above item 7 and 8.

If you want change setting of "sleep mode", "hibernate" and "turn on fast start-up", please refer to the "1-1 Related Documentation"

3-2 Installing SDK-AcapLib2 This chapter describes the method when installing SDK-AcapLib2. 1. Open index_e.html in CD-ROM and click "install".

2. Click "Run".

If you want change setting of "sleep mode", "hibernate" and "turn on fast start-up", please refer to the this document.

3. If you want toread "the Installation Guide", click "Yes". If you don't want to read install guide, click "No".

If the PDF reader(Acrobat Reader etc) isn't installed, you will not be able to open this manual.

4. Click "Install"

5. Select the required components and click "OK".

(*)If there is no reson, click on the OK.

If you change install folder, you click "Select".

6. Start installing SDK-AcapLib2.

7. If "Windows security" is displayed during installation, click "Install".

"Windows Security" is displayed for several times.

8. If checked to "Registration" of item 5, the product key input dialog will display. If you want to register

product key, select the "Product version" and input product key. Finally, click OK.

Refer to"3-3 Registration Tool (Product Registration)" for more information.

When product registration is done, avobe dialog will display.

9. Click on the "Finished" after installation is completed.

10. When the installation is complete, the dialog of prompting you to restart is displayed. Please restart a

computer.

If you click "Yes", the PC will restart automatically.

11. After PC reboot, please check that not displayed "!" mark for "Computer Management" and check that the

icon of frame grabber is displayed. If frame grabber icon isn't displayed and "!" mark is displayed, please refer to "5.Trouble shooting".

3-3 Registration Tool (Product Registration) When you use SDK-AcapLib2, it is necessary to perform registration to PC by using “Registration Tool”. There is no case that function takes restriction when it is used without registration. However, the message, which tells that registration is not completed, will appear when device open ("AcapOpen" function is called).

Therefore, please you register product in the following way. 1. Click "AvdRegistTool"(*)

(*)"AvdRegistTool" exists to below. "Start menu" -> "All apps" -> "AVALDATA SDK-AcapLib2" -> "Tool" - > "Registration" -> "AvdRegistTool"

In the case before SDK-AcapLib2 Ver.6.6.0, dialog is displayed that of "Please start this program by 'Run as administrator". Please you right click on the "avdRegisttool", and then select "Run as administrator".

2. Select "Product version", and input Product Key. Filnaly click "OK".

If you buy the SDK-AcapLib2, Product Key is shipped and input Product Key.

3. If the message like left figure appears, registration is the end.

If It is displayed dialog of "Product Key is wrong", please reconfirm the product key.

3-4 Installing Virtual COM driver (Virtual COM tool) Refer to "SDK-AcapLib2 VirtualComTool Manual" about installing, and using method of virtual COM tool.

The manual exists to below. "System drive(C:Drive)" -> "AVALDATA" -> "SDK-AcapLib2" -> "Doc" -> "2_Software" -> "4_Tool" -> "VirtualComTool"

3-5 About Firmware update / Change SW switch Refer to FirmwareUpdateTool Manual (SDK-AcapLib2 FirmwareUpdateTool Manual) about firmware update and change SW switch.

4. Uninstalling each software

This chapter describes the method and precautions when uninstalling each software.

4-1 Uninstalling Virtual COM driver Refer to "SDK-AcapLib2 VirtualComTool Manual" about uninstalling, and using method of virtual COM tool.

If you will uninstall of the virtual COM driver, please the first to release all COM port.

The manual exists to below. "System drive(C:Drive)" -> "AVALDATA" -> "SDK-AcapLib2" -> "Doc" -> "2_Software" -> "4_Tool" -> "VirtualComTool"

4-2 Uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2 This chapter describes the method when uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2.

Procedure differs depending on the version of SDK-AcapLib2. [In the case of SDK-AcapLib2 version 6.6.0 or earlier] Please refer to the "4-2-1 Uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2 version 6.6.0 or earlier". [In the case of SDK-AcapLib2 since version 6.7.0] Please refer to the "4-2-2 Uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2 since version 6.7.0".

Please the first uninstall Virtual COM driver, before uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2.

4-2-1 Uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2 version 6.6.0 or earlier

1. Open "Uninstall or change a program".

Procedure differs and item name depending on the OS. <WindowsXP> [Start button] -> [Control Panel] -> [Add or Delete Program] <Windows7> [Start button] -> [Setting] -> [Control Panel] -> [Uninstall a Program] <Windwos10> [Start button] -> [All apps] -> [Windows System] -> [Control Panel] -> [Uninstall a

Program]

2. Double click "AVALDATA SDK-AcapLib2"

3. Click "Uninstall".

4. Click "Yes".

5. Double click the "AVALDATA APX-3300 Windows SDK" after deleting the "AVALDATA SDK-AcapLib2".

6. Click "Yes"

7. Press the "F5" key at above figure. If there are following subjects, then uninstall it. - "AVALDATA Capture Library 2 - "Windows driver package – AVAL DATA CORPORATION (apx***) Aip (****)"

4-2-2 Uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2 since version 6.7.0

1. Open "Uninstall or change a program".

Procedure differs and item name depending on the OS. <WindowsXP> [Start button] -> [Control Panel] -> [Add or Delete Program] <Windows7> [Start button] -> [Setting] -> [Control Panel] -> [Uninstall a Program] <Windwos10> [Start button] -> [All apps] -> [Windows System] -> [Control Panel] -> [Uninstall a

Program]

2. Double click "AVALDATA SDK-AcapLib2".

3. If you want to read the "Uninstallation Guide", click "Yes". If you don't want to read install guide, click

"No".

You will see the uninstall guide, but it will open this manual. Please refer to "4.Uninstalling each software" of this manual.

If the PDF reader(Acrobat Reader etc) isn't installed, you will not be able to open this manual.

4. Click "Uninstall".

5. Click "Yes".

6. Press the "F5" key at above figure. If there are following subjects, then uninstall it.

5. Trouble shooting

This chapter describes the method and precautions when installation trouble occurs or uninstallation trouble occurs.

5-1 In the case trouble occur Check following points if any trouble occurs during installation or uninstallation. - Check whether hardware is connected correctly once again. - Check whether same problem occurs when you connect it to other PCI Express slot. - Check "3-1 Before installation" once again.

5-2 About reinstall of SDK-AcapLib2 If the problem still cannot be solved at "5-1 In the case trouble occur", please delete all the files related to the SDK-AcapLib2 and reinstall of SDK-AcapLib2 at the following method. 1. Refer to "SDK-AcapLib2 VirtualComTool Manual" about uninstalling, and using method of virtual COM

tool.

2. Refer to "4-2-1 Uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2 version 6.6.0 or earlier" or "4-2-2 Uninstalling SDK-AcapLib2 since version 6.7.0", and uninstall SDK-AcapLib2.

3. If the "SDK-Acaplib2" folder was left on the "AVALDATA" folder(*), please delete it. (*)"AVALDATA " exists to below. "System drive(C:Drive)" -> "AVALDATA"

4. If the "AVALDATA" folder was left on the " ProgramData" folder(*),please delete it.

(*)"ProgramData" exists to below. "System drive(C:Drive)" -> "ProgramData"

"ProgramData" folder is hidden folder. If you want to show this folder, please change to "Show hidden files, folders, and drivers" of "oflder options"(*) (*)"folder options" exists to below. "Explorer" -> "menu" -> "Tools" -> "folder options"

5. If the following files were left in the "System32"folder(*), please delete it.

(*)"System32" exists to below. "System drive(C:Drive)" -> "Windows" -> "System32"

If you use 64bit OS, please check above files were left in SysWOW64(*). If the files were left please delete it. (*)"SysWOW64" exists to below. "System drive(C:Drive)" -> "Windows" -> "SysWOW64"

6. If the following files were left in the "drivers"folder(*), please delete it.

(*)"System32" exists to below. "System drive(C:Drive)" -> "Windows" -> "System32" -> "drivers"

7. Refer to "3-2 Installing SDK-AcapLib2" after dll file and sys file deleted, please reinstall of SDK-AcapLib2.
