“Hi, I’m Francisco Pizarro who was the conqueror of Spain. I made a

difference because I conquered the Incas and I found new land called

Lima which is the capital and largest city of peru.

I was born on 1475 In Trujillo, Extremadura, Spain. I was an

illegitimate son of Gonzalo Pizarro and Francisca Gonzalez and I had 3

younger brothers.

During my childhood, I lived with my grandparents. I never went to

school and I only did pig herding.

In 1531, I started the second expedition for conquering Incas. We

arrived at Cajamarca which Atahualpa, the emperor of Incas stayed and

we decided to meet. In that meeting, I exhorted the Inca to accept Charles

V as their master but Atahualpa didn’t accept it so I immediately ordered

an attack. By attacking the Incas, Cuzco, the capital of Inca was occupied

without any struggle in 1533.

In 1535, I founded Ciudad de Los Reyes , which is now Lima and

the city was the seat of my new government.

Diego de Almagro who was the supporter of my discovery of Peru,

and I quarreled terribly about territory who were going to govern and my

supporters captured and executed him.

The embittered followers of Almagro then conspired against me. I died of

their assassination in Lima in 1541.

When you think of me, remember I am also an explorer of

Spain. not only for conquering other lands.
