Script: Snapped

G = Girl M = Man F = Friends

Scene 1 Day time – High key lighting. Set in a modern, isolated house. Friends are sitting on the sofa talking amongst them. Very quiet upbeat music in the background.

All characters are female dressed in casual clothing such as jeans and a t-shirt

F: “I can’t believe you have the whole house to yourself why your parents are on holiday. I’m so jealous!”

G: “I know I’m so excited to be alone for a whole weekend, I can do what I want, go to bed when I want.”

It will then zoom out through the window to an establishing shot of the house. On screen an image of the girls on the sofa will appear with the noise of a camera taking a picture.

Scene 2Night time – Low key lighting. Set in an office in a house. A man sitting in a chair with a computer in front of him. Pictures scattered all over the wall. There will be spooky, tense music playing in the background. There will be pan shot to show the pictures on the wall are all of one person throughout the years.After this scene a critic’s review will appear on screen.

Scene 3Day time – High key lighting. Set outside, the sound of a message being sent will appear with an over the shoulder shot of the girl’s phone

Text will say *On my way to the park, see you in 5*

It will then switch to a long shot of the girl walking with her headphones in; upbeat music will be playing signifying the music she is listening to. It will then go silent with a voiceover saying

“You have one new voicemail”There will then be a close-up on the girl’s face to how her emotion. The voicemail will cut in and out as the girl starts to run awayThe voice mail will say

“You look beautiful today. You have grown into such a beautiful young lady. Don’t be scared, but I can see you. You belong to me, no one else.”This will be spoken in a whisper.

With the voicemail still playing in a voiceover there will be shots of the girl running home. These will be close-ups, long shots, mid-shots and tracking; these will be edited as fast paced to show the girl’s panic.

The girl will run into her house with the camera showing her facing the door as she shuts it from a high angle. There will be heavy breathing from the girl.

Scene 4The screen will then fade to black. With tense music playing in the background. The name of the film will then appear on screen.

Scene 5Night time – Low key lighting. Set outside down an isolated street. There will be a pan shot of a van driving past. The sound will be the sound of the engine.

Scene 6Night time – Low key lighting. Set in a van. There will be mid-shots of the girl struggling in the van. Her attempts to scream will be heard with tense music playing in the background. There will be a long shot of the man shutting the van door.There will also be a close-up on the girl’s phone that is in the van with a text from her friend.

The text will say *Where are you? You were meant to meet us at the park 2 hours ago!*

Scene 7Night time – Low key lighting. Set in the man’s office. This will be a wide shot showing the girl tied to a chair with the shrine in front of her. It will also be at a high angle.

Scene 8The screen will fade to black, with a blurry male face appearing. When the face appears a voice over says,

“If I can’t have you, no one can.”Follow by a laugh. The screen will then again fade to black, with the release date appearing at the end in a spooky font with it flickering on the screen. Through this there will be a female scream.
