Screen Printed Transfer
Screen Printed Transfer
Similar to true edge transfer, artwork is received and setup to size. Artwork is flipped backwards and printed on a special
printer/press that lays down color then underbase on a transparency paper. Basically a screen print that is then heat
transfered onto the product. With this process we can get a very soft hand feel, almost velvety, that is also stretchable.
Due to the special nature of these prints a minimum quantity is required for all orders and re-orders.
Q: What type of fabrics can be done with Screen Printed Heat Transfers?A: A bit more than typical vinyl transfer. This is due
to the lower temp required for pressing and the
overall stretch that the transfers have.
Q: What are the smallest details achievable?A: Smallest size of artwork cannot be smaller than
0.03in x 0.03in, which is equivalent to a 2 point
line.
Q: Does the artwork require a background?A: Unlike traditional vinyl, soft hand transfers are a
weedless process, similar to true edge.
Q: Why aren’t fades/transparency allowed for soft hand transfer?A: A solid underbase/glue is required for the
imprint to bond to the garment.
Q: How is the thickness and feel of screen printed transfers?A: The screen printed transfers are as thin as a
standard vinyl but are much softer and smoother.
Q: What is a Sheet?A: 1 sheet is 10”W x 17”H. This sheet is then ran X
amount of times to meet your quantity. All sheets
must be exactly the same to meet quantity min.
