Science Safety Standards

You must be safe!!!!!!

How can we ensure safety?

1. Read and study the science activity or lab investigation before starting.

A. Note all symbols and obey precautions

Main Rules

1. Follow directions. (Note all Safety Symbols- R16)

2. Wear your goggles! ( and any other safety equipment required)

3. Report ANY accidents to me immediately.

4. Never taste any chemicals. No eating or drinking in lab..

5. Never smell anything directly.

6. NO HORSEPLAY!

7. Keep your area clean. Wash your hands after the experiment.

• If a chemical spills, report it immediately!

*move away from the site

*wash off chemicals that have

splashed onto clothing or skin for 15

minutes using large amounts of water

in the safety shower or eyewash station
