GSK Science in the Summer™, in part- nership with The Franklin Institute, is a free science education program that helps elementary school children in the greater Philadelphia area “grow into science.” Through classes held in your local public library, the program gets kids excited about studying science with hands-on experi- ments. Classes are small with 16 students each, so be sure to register early! Level I classes are for Children entering grades 2-3. Level II classes are for Children entering grades 4-6. Delaware County — Chemistry What is matter and why is it not always the same? Students in Chemistry will observe physical and chemical changes with fun ex- periments such as turning pennies golden, making crystals, and instantly freezing objects using dry ice. They'll test acid and bases and make chemical compounds just like real chemists! There are 2 parts to registraon before a child can be fully accepted into a session. Part 1- Choose a session and complete and submit the registraon informaon Part 2- Read, sign, and submit the release form To register your child, visit www.scienceinthesummer.com.
