How to fill out Custom Forms to mail to an APO Address

Having friends and family members overseas can be overwhelming in many ways. Of course, we want to shower them with mail to

make them feel at home, but how tricky are all those mail forms to fill out?

The following job aid will help explain and demonstrate the mailing process to APO/FPO addresses. After reading the material, be sure to reference the

Here are a few key terms that will be helpful through out the mailing process

• APO - Army Post Office; this is included in the mailing address• FPO - Fleet Post Office; this is included in the mailing address• Custom Forms - provided by the US Postal Service, necessary on all mail packages• Flate Rate Box - provided by the US Postal Service, free of charge when mailing to AP0
