Description of post:
We wish to recruit a part-time SENDCO support
As a SENDCO Assistant you will lead in the assessment of key groups of children and the
development of intervention programmes. You will analyse data and support the SENDCO in
strategically planning interventions and the effective deployment of staff. You will screen ‘at
risk’ children using our diagnostic pathway. You will devise evaluation procedures and monitor
the impact of interventions. You will assess ASC/complex needs children to plan support and
you will liaise with all the professionals involved. You will report directly to the SENDCO and
work closely with classteachers. You will keep detailed records and teach groups of children. You
will have the potential to lead in the training and support of other LSAs/INAs.
This role is ideally suited to a graduate (psychology, for example) with appropriate experience
working with complex needs children and who aspires to a relatively high level of professional
responsibility within a school setting at an early stage in his or her career. This would be an
ideal experience for someone aspiring to a later career in educational psychology, specialist
teaching or a similar specialist related profession.

As a KS2 Learning Support Assistant, you will support groups of children in class and run
teacher-planned programmes of intervention in Literacy and Maths. (A particular interest in
Maths would be an advantage). You will help children access the curriculum and develop
positive relationships with peers and adults. You will report directly to the Inclusion Manager
and work closely with the class teacher to ensure your work supports learning in the classroom.
You will keep detailed records and regularly assess progress. You will be closely supported and
offered regular supervision. You will become a valued member of a very strong, committed and
generous team.
As an MDSA/Breakfast Club Assistant you will be part of a team responsible for the supervision
and safety of pupils in all areas inside and outside the school building before school and
throughout the midday break. You will proactively encourage children’s play and ensure they
eat healthily.

As a Breakfast Club Assistant you will help organize a range of before school activities, help
