Many items are ‘performance specified’
A number of items are defined by manufacturer and product number
A suite of drawings for ‘builder’s supplied items’ or DET specific designs (usually in response to a ‘situation’)

They align with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) for a ‘Class 9 Building’(Note: there are a number of instances where the
SFS exceeds the requirements of the BCA eg balustrading and glazing)
They reference or incorporate over 50 Australian Standards
