School’s Out!
OSHC Holiday Program
The Holiday Program is based in
The Essington International School Darwin’s After School Care Service rooms, A6 &
A7, on our Nightcliff campus in Chapman Road, Nightcliff.
During the program some activities will occur off-site. Where an activity is offered
off-site, a separate letter with details and a permission form will be sent to you. For

Our aim is to create a partnership with your family in providing a warm, caring and
enriching environment for all of our children.
This booklet is designed to assist your family in learning about our program and to
answer some, or all, of the questions you may have.
Our service has been assessed and recognised with an ‘Exceeding’ National
Quality Standards rating and is licensed with The Northern Territory Government,
through Quality Education and Care NT.
Please Note:
• Our opening hours during the Holiday Program are from 7.30am-5.30pm.
• Children can only be dropped at the Holiday Program with a prior booking
and payment.
• Children can only be dropped off at or after 7.30am, and late fees will be
incurred after 5.30pm ($2/minute).
• One Enrolment Form per child.
• This program is flexible and subject to change as circumstances warrant.
• 48 hours notice is required for any cancellation or full fees apply.

Daily Requirements:
• SunSmart broad-brimmed hat
• Top/clothing that covers shoulders
• Enclosed shoes and socks
• Water bottle
• Lunch ONLY unless stated otherwise on the program (Morning and Afternoon
Tea provided—fruit and crackers with cheese or vegetable sticks and dips)

Our students will be treated to a variety of hands on science
experiments and investigate some of our planets natural
phenomena.

Rugby Tots (Incursion)
We will be visited by Rugby Tots Top End for a workshop on all things
rugby!
Don’t forget to wear closed in shoes, bring a hat and water bottle!

Movie Day!
Students will be treated to a full cinema experience while watching
a movie on the big screen at the auditorium.
The movie experience will be completed with popcorn and other
healthy treats.

Giggling Geckos inflatable hire will be supplying a giant inflatable
obstacle course in the auditorium for us today.

Hyper the Clown will be visiting us to showcase her latest and greatest

Disco Day
Put on those dancing shoes because today is Disco Day!
Students will be treated to their favourite tunes, lots of dancing, disco
lights, games and of course prizes!

Picnic Day
Our canteen will be supplying us with a picnic style lunch to have out
on the oval in the beautiful dry weather.

Jump Rope for Heart (Incursion)
We will be visited by The Heart Foundation for a workshop on skipping!
Double unders, criss crossing and double dutch will all be apart of the
skipping fun.

Wet Play Day
Get ready for some wet and wild fun today! Students will be
provided with water squirters, balloons and other cool toys to cool
off on our oval.
Don’t forget: Bathers, towels, hats and a change of clothes.

Today we will be visited by top end Party Animals and treated to a
hands on experience with large birds, lizards and snakes!

Today we embrace all things technology.
Students will be able to bring their own technology from home however
we will be focusing on using these technologies to interact as a group!
