Romania is situated in the southeastern part of Central Europe and it contain many traditional regions: Oltenia, Banat, Bukovina, Crisana, Dobrudja, Maramures, Moldavia, Walachia, Transylvania.

Oltenia, situated between the Danube, Olt River and the Meridional Carpathians with the most important cities Craiova, Drobeta Turnu Severin and Targu-Jiu, has numerous touristic objectives: spas - Olanesti, Calimanesti-Caciulata, Govora; caves - Muierii, Polovragi; old monasteries – Tismana, Horezu, Cozia.

The Gorj county town lies at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, on the banks of the river Jiu. Here you can find a unique spiritual legacy in local folklore , beauty of nature or in peace of the monastic settlement and first of all in the works of the great Romanian sculptor, Constantin Brancusi.

Colegiul Tehnic Nr. 2 (Technical College No. 2) is a well-known highschool in Gorj county for its tradition in education and its resonance in technological field. The college is a vocational/technical secondary school which was established in 1966; since then our college tried through time to adjust its educational offert to the major changes of the labour market proposing new specializations and embracing theoretical education with practical training.

Our high-school provides a safe learning environment and all students are well educated due to a wonderful teacher’s team who value open communication between parents, students, teachers and local community.

The College has 9 buildings, a courtyard reach in green spaces, athletic field, canteen and dining hall, hostel for students, medical office, school library with reading rooms.

The school has the following specializations:

mechanics, electronics, automations (operator in calcul

technique, automations and telecommunications),

electrotechnics, environment protection, textile industry, buildings materials.

School students are learning in:

22 classrooms, 9 laboratories, 4 workhouses.
