SCHOOL POLICIES AND GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Registration Fee- P 100.00 for life time, per course 2. Practice coupons with eight (8), thirty (30) minutes-stubs per coupon are available at the following rates: Piano/Guitar P 100.00 /coupon (4 hours) Electone 150.00 /coupon (4 hours) All other courses 150.00 /coupon (4 hours) 3. Payment of lessons A. A minimum of one (1) month advance payment is required. Continuation of lessons will take effect only upon updating another minimum one (1) month advance payment. 4. Admission requirements A. No age pre-requisite for student-applicants. B. Entrance to intermediate and advance level is subject to evaluation by the School Directress. 5. Class Schedules 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Sunday No Sunday classes during the summer period. 6. Absences and make-up lessons A student is allowed a maximum of three (3) make-up lessons every 24 lessons held. Failure to report on a schedule without justifiable cause shall automatically mean forfeiture of lessons. 7. Recitals Upon approval by the School Directress, after an audition, a student shall be entitled to join the recital the school holds every year. The student shall then receive a recital certificate. 8. Organizations Yamaha School of Music students have many opportunities to enhance their creative talents. The school’s various clubs and activities are ideal outlets for them to cultivate their technical abilities and meet interesting personalities. A. Yamaha Electone Club. An organization of students who excel in organ playing. The club performs at concert and promotional activities of the School. B. Yamaha Popular Bands. A live show band for students in voice, guitar, wind, and keyboard instruments. C. Yamaha Faculty Club. Faculty members assist in concerts and recitals to promote camaraderie among students, the administration and themselves. 9. Other Activities Yamaha Electone Festival. Advance students in electone (Organ) courses from all over the country meet and compete on organ playing for regional, national and international competition. Junior Electone Concours – For ages 12 and above. Intermediate Electone Concours – For 16 years old and above. Senior Electone Concours – Students compete to represent the Philippines in the Southeast Asian Yamaha Electone Festival and the World Electone Festival.
