Our students matter

You can talk to our MSE staff, teachers, residential staffand activity leaders at any time about anything at all. Our staff are selected for their experience of working with young people and are here to make sure every single student feels safe and happy. Whenever the need arises, students can call our 24-hour emergency phone number. Residential on-site staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our Junior programmes are carefully created by experienced course designers who have worked with young learners in a variety of settings. We understand their learning needs and also appreciate how success in English could be the key to their future academic and professional success.

The learning experience at Mayfair

Placement testOn arrival, students do a placement test to find out their language level. The test assesses language proficiency and ensures that each student is placedin a class with students of the same ability.

Top teachersOur professional teachers are selected for their qualifications as well as their experience and interest in working with young learners.

Skills for lifeEnglish is taught through engaging and relevant real-world contexts where communication, problem solving, discovery and discussion take place in the target language.

Each MSE centre has its own action-packed activity programme to complement lessons and give students a great cultural experience of England. Groups will have a have a tailor-made programme to suit their preferences. Programme Includes

Our language programmes are designed to make learning dynamic and interactive. Using stimulating materials suited to young learners’ needs, lessons are designed to build confidence in communication. Students will use English in real situations when exploring new places and to meet new students from around the world.

Learning

Students can enjoy informal dining in a modern setting. With a carefully planned menu of popular international dishes to choose from, students have plenty of choice and enjoy ‘world food’ as part of their experience. Three main meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner) plus late afternoon tea are provided with packed lunches and barbecues as part of the activity programme.

Wycombe Abbey School has 24-hour security in the form of a gated entrance, high walls surrounding the grounds and security cameras at all times.

SecurityOur top priority is our students’ safety and well-being. Our very experienced welfare staff ensure that each and every student is comfortable, confident and happy for the duration of their stay.

Each two-week programme includes fully supervised activities every afternoon and evening, plus one full-day excursions and one half-day excursion.

Secure and comfortable accommodation in shared rooms (from 2 – 8 people per room) is available in a range of different houses. Boys and girls lodge in separate houses which each have their own TV or sitting room. Houses are fully supervised by a group leader or teacher at all times.
