SALFORD SCHOOL PTA COMMITTEE 2011

The recently elected PTA Committee are excited about their new and grand sounding "Incorporated Society" status. Not only does this give the committee guidelines and procedures to follow, it also enables us to access Community Funding. Well done to the previous committee for tackling this big challenge.

We are really looking forward to working with our School Community, children, staff and the Board of Trustees, to help provide support, fun and facilities for our children and the wider Salford Community. Please feel free to approach any committee members with ideas, comments, offers of assistance and encouragement.

THANK YOU: A huge thank you to Shanla Lewis for her tremendous work administering and operating our Pre-Loved Uniform Shop. Shanla, ably assisted by Margaret Flannery, looked after sorting, cleaning and sales of donated uniforms. She was always a cheerful, welcoming and helpful contact for many parents and families. We can be sure such excellent service continues as Margaret has kindly offered to take over the helm. Ainslie Bruce will help out and others are more than welcome. Thank You Shanla!!!!!

Watch out for more opportunities to be involved or supportive soon! Yours in Community Spirit. Lyndal Ludlow, President

On Sunday the 12th of June, at the Civic Theatre, Mackenzie Flannery and Rachel Checketts represented Salford at the Sport Southland Push Play Aerobic and Hip Hop Festival, as

individual competitors. The event attracted an impressive field of more than 200 young competitors featuring 69 performances, from Southland primary
