Get ready for audition season by enrolling in one of our advanced level programs. IMPROVISATION FOR THE PROFESSIONAL ACTOR is an adult improv program teaching techniques that allow the actor to free their self from the persona they portray on stage or camera. Improvisation has become an essential part of most audition situations. In this program all students will create a complete improv showcase which will be performed in front of a live audience. This program is 10 weeks beginning Thursday, August 30th and taught by Tracy Frenkel. MONOLOGUE & ADVANCED COMMERCIAL AUDITIONING is an adult program preparing you for your next audition. This is an 8 week on camera program taught by acting instructor Stephanie Bowen. In the last session each student will have a private one on one interview / audition with an agent where you will perform your monologue and commercials. This program is beginning Wednesday, September 12th. KIDS & TEENS ADVANCED MONOLOGUE & SCENE STUDY is a hands on program working on making your monologue believable, character development and two part scene study. All students will perform their monologue and scenes in a live showcase during the last class in front of an agent for representation. This is an 8 week program on Saturdays beginning August 18th from 10:30am to 12:30pm and is taught by a variety of Maile School acting coaches.

Congrats to kids acting graduate Chelsea Drake. She took home the title of Champion of the World, Division Winner for VOCAL POP FEMALE 10 and under in the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles California. She also won an industry medal along with two acting medals and four additional singing medals. Chelsea is not new to the business. She was a finalist at the Seminole Towne Center’s Talent Showcase that was hosted by The Maile School and has performed at many of our fashion shows since being in the showcase.
Way to go Chelsea.
A big congrats goes out to acting and modeling graduate Izayah Thorb. He landed a role on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne that aired on Friday, July 27th at 8pm on TBS. He was the boy taking Jazmine to her first dance. The episode was called “The First Dance”. Izayah also appeared on The Christian TV Station 3ABN for “Kids Time the Sharing
Time.”
Professional modeling graduate Rebecca Austin has been busy working in the industry. Her latest booking includes a photoshoot for Koru Swimwear, (pictured right ) an eco-friendly swimwear that is made from recycled materials and fabrics that are dyed without the use of water, so no wasted resources. week to name a few! Congrats Rebecca!
Congratulations to children’s modeling and acting graduates Brinkley and Parker Brenneman for being featured in Orlando Family Magazine’s August 2012 issue in the back to school fashions segment. (pictured right) Both Brinkley and Parker have been very active in the industry booking jobs for clients like Disney and also modeling in The Maile School’s back to school fashion show at The Mall at Millenia. We look forward to
more news from them in the future!
