SCHOOL INCURSIONSHow does it work?• Two of our skilled Educators visit your school, bringing all relevant materials including

LEGO bricks and iPads which have been industrially disinfected in advance.• We run a minimum of 5 consecutive workshops each lasting 45 minutes.• Schools can select their preferred workshop in advance - see following page.

Workshops can vary between classes. Workshops are suitable for kindergarten to grade six.

• Our skilled Educators will disinfect iPads between workshops and collect new LEGO brick sets that have been industrially cleaned in advance, then move to the next class.

• Minimum booking is 4 workshops per school visit. • Classes can be reduced in length or extended, to fit with your class schedule.• Our preference is for classes to be run consecutively (back-to-back), excluding lunch

breaks.• New classroom brick packs can be purchased. These are new bricks that can be kept

either for the classroom, or for students to take home.

$8 per student incl GSTEach student is loaned an iPad and their own set of LEGO bricks for the duration on the workshopEach student also receives a 20% off voucher to visit LEGO-LAND Discovery Centre. Teachers receive a free pass

PaymentAn invoice will be sent through after your visit. Payment must be received within 7 days of our visit. Once confirmed, bookings cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled date will incur a 50% cancellation fee to cover costs. Cancellations will be charged in full. Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to

the scheduled date of visit will not be charged. The booking date can be rescheduled within the same year (subject to availability) more than 14 days prior to the scheduled date of visit.

AVAILABLE WORKSHOPS

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre has collaborated with LEGO® Education to provide unique, high quality learning experiences.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre facilitates learning through interactive experiences to promote deeper engagement with the subject matter, providing hands-on learning across the curriculum, including science, mathematics, language, arts, technology, and engineering design. All our workshops focus on collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Teachers can choose from the following workshops:

Wobbly Robotics Grades 5-6 | 45-50 minsEngineering, Design, MathematicsStudents work in teams to explore concepts of robotics and coding using LEGO! After building their very own robotics model, they are given the opportunity to program and code their robot to perform simple tasks using a tablet.

Rover RoboticsGrades 3-4 | 45-50 minsEngineering, Design, MathematicsWorking in teams, students build their very own space rover using LEGO! They then explore concepts of programing by coding their rover to perform simple tasks using a tablet.

Spinning TopsGrades 1-2 | (30-35 minute workshop + 10 minutes for Q&A with our Educators)Engineering, Design, MathematicsIn this exciting workshop, students build and experiment with LEGO spinning tops. Students learn about how scientists perform experiments by developing theories, conducting their own experiments and collecting data.

Creative StorytellingGrades 2-6 | 45 minsEnglish Language ArtsIn this workshop, students will build their characters and settings to develop a plot using LEGO bricks! Students learn about the key elements of a narrative and will get to practice storytelling and collaboration.

Curriculum Aligned School Workshops

How does it work?• Our experienced Educators can run remote workshops by dialling into your

classroom, direct from LEGOLAND Discovery Centre! • We can dial into your physical classroom or join an online class via Google

Classroom, Zoom, Houseparty or Skype!• The only thing that students or teachers will need to arrange in advance is a

collection of LEGO bricks for each student. No specialist bricks are required - what children have at home will be suitable.

• For children who do not have LEGO bricks, a “workshop pack” of LEGO bricks can be purchased and mailed out to you in advance - see pricing below. Packs are per student and any quantity can be ordered.

• We recommend students pre-prepare questions for our skilled Educations as children love to ask our LEGO experts questions!

• Talk to us about your needs and we can develop remote, curriculum-aligned classes designed just for you!

• Multiple bookings can be made consecutively (back-to-back) to accommodate multiple classes within one day.
