CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 4:31 p.m. by President Hinz in accordance with notice given to the New
Richmond News.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion by Paula Kolbeck to approve the agenda as presented. Bryan Schafer seconded the
motion. Motion carried 7-0.
CONSENT AGENDA
Resignation of Cristin Ford from 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher at Starr Elementary as
requested in a letter dated 5/23/18;
Resignation of Carly Lorenz from 1.0 FTE Kindergarten Teacher at Starr Elementary as requested
in a letter dated 6/4/18;
Resignation of Jenna Weiland from 1.0 FTE First Grade Teacher at Starr Elementary as requested
in a letter dated 5/24/18;
Resignations from extra-curricular positions for the 2018-2019 school year: Keith Badger from
Summer School Teacher; Gregory Kier from Fifth Grade Department Head; Jenna Weiland from
First Grade Department Head;
Hire to extra-curricular positions for the 2017-2018 school year: Hallie Kaczmarski to Summer

Hire of Brittany Bosak to replacement 1.0 FTE High School ALC Teacher for the 2018-2019
school year with a salary of $51,370;
Hire of Ryan Leis to replacement 1.0 FTE High School English Teacher for the 2018-2019 school
year with a salary of $45,376;
Transfers and/or Reassignments for the 2018-2019 school year: Erik Benson from Starr
Elementary Third Grade Teacher to Starr Elementary Fourth Grade Teacher; Abigail Blader from

SCHOOL DISTRICT OF NEW RICHMOND Inspire Every Student to Learn to His or Her Potential
School District of New Richmond
DISTRICT BEHAVIOR COACH MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
The District is working with Westfield’s to hire a District Behavior Coach to service grades K-8
district wide and also offer services to the High School. Mr. Olson hopes to have a memorandum of
understanding for approval at the regular meeting in June.
SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER
The New Richmond City Council has the School Resource Officer Memorandum of Understanding
on their agenda tonight. Mr. Olson will attend that meeting and possibly have something for the
Board to approve at the regular meeting in June.
Wisconsin Department of Justice School Safety Grant
A grant request for the School Safety Initiative was submitted to the Department of Justice last week.
The request was for $395,408.22 and would be used to increase a variety of safety features throughout
the District.
EARLY CHILDHOOD AND BRIDGE RELOCATION PROPERTY
The District is looking for space for the Early Childhood and Bridge programs. Early Childhood is
currently housed at Starr Elementary and the Bridge program is renting a house from the New
Richmond Area Centre. The Creamery was discussed as a possible location.
Motion by Neal Melby to convene to closed session at 5:12 p.m. Bryan Schafer seconded the motion.

CLOSED SESSION
Convene to closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)
(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any
public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.

RECONVENE AND TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION The Board reconvened to open session at 6:40 p.m.
Motion by Paula Kolbeck to approve a compensation increase of 2.13% for all staff plus teacher
supplement pay of $1,400. Neal Melby seconded the motion. Motion carried 7-0.
Motion by Kent Elkin to approve the recommendation of the School District of New Richmond
Administration for non-extension of the extra-curricular contract for 2018-19 for Ryan Schradle.
Greg Gartner seconded the motion. Motion carried 7-0.

Motion by Neal Melby to adjourn at 6:42 p.m. Bryan Schafer seconded the motion. Motion
