We are also hoping to include Jonathan’s menu on our 2017 Primary Summer Menu: In recent years, school lunches have come a long way in terms of nutritional content. Nowadays, our school lunches have to comply with Welsh Government legislation ensuring pupils have a nutritionally, balanced meal. As a service, we are also committed to ensuring that we serve food which you can trust, using freshly prepared seasonal ingredients. Other benefits of a school lunch include: Time saved in the evenings/mornings not having to prepare a packed lunch School meals offer a variety of vegetables and fruit which help towards your child’s ‘5 a day’ Sitting down and eating together helps develop social skills and table manners Studies have shown that children are more receptive if they have had a fulfilling meal at lunchtime We encourage all parents and pupils to ‘Give our School Meals a Try’.
