Vimala Central School is a Catholic Institution established and managed by the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (S.A.B.S.), Kothamangalam province.

This congregation, founded in 1908 by the late Bishop Thomas Kurialassery, pursues the spirit and charisma of its founder, Besides being a great devotee of the Eucharistic Lord, he was a great educationalist and a reformer of the society. He established many schools and colleges to meet the needs of the peopleofeachlocality.Uplifitingthepeoplethroughpropereducation is a great service rendered and also the need of all times to human society. It enjoys all the rights and privileges of Article - 30 of Indian Constitution and meets the educational requirements of the Christian community. The medium of instruction is English. But the languages Malayalam and Hindi are taught as second languages

Admission and withdrawal

1. Age limit for admission to LKG is minimum 3½ Years and maximum 4years.

2. Aformalcertificate/documentcontainingthenameanddate of birth of the student endorsed by a competent civil authority is to be submitted at the time of the Ist standard admission. Once enterd in the admission register, this will not be altered.

Examination and Promotion

1. Promotion depends on the student’s performance in the annual and terminal examinations and on the assessment of other works and activities assigned to him/her throughout the year.

2. A minimum attendance of 75% is required for promotion.

3. Students absenting themselves from any examination or test will not be examined again.

4. A student who fails twice in the same class will not be allowed to continue in the school.

Leave and Absence

1. Previous sanction from the Principal is needed for the absence of any student.

2. Leave should be applied in the form prescribed in the diary.

3. The name of those students who absent themselves without leave application for 15 consecutive days may be removed from the rolls. Re-admission is left to the sole discretion of the management.

4. Students who are late in the school must bring the diary with reasons recorded in it.

1. Every student must bring School Diary daily. The diary should not be used as a rough book.

2. Every student shall beon thepremisesbeforefirst bell.Pemission ‘to be late’, is not granted to anybody.

3. During the class-hours, no one shall leave the school without the premission of the Principal.

4. Students of one class are not allowed to enter into other classes.

5. The damage caused to the property of the school will have to be made good.

6. Allthereceiptsfromtheschoolofficeshallbeproducedwhenever they are asked.

7. Playing in classroom and corridors is strictly prohibited.

8. Afterthefirstbellinthemorning,thewholeschoolwillkeep silence.

9. Scribbling on walls and furniture is a punishable offence.

10. Students are not allowed to wear gold ornaments in the school. Only small studs are allowed.

11. Use of mobilephone, camera and other electronic gadgets are banned in the premises; incase found it will be confiscated.

12. Habitual misbehaviour, irregular attendance, insubordination and seriousmisconduct are suffficient reasons for thesuspension or dismissal of a pupil.

13. No one is expected to bring undersirable things or reading materials to the school.

14. Obedience, neatness and punctuality are expected at all times.

15. No student is advised to ride motor bikes or other multi-wheeled vehicles.

16. Students are supposed to come to the school in the prescribed uniform.

17. Children suffering from any contagious or infectious disease are advised to stay at home till they recover fully.

18. The belongings of the students are expected to be labelled properly.

19. Students are expected to keep their bicycles in the parking area in the campus.

20. Students are not allowed to bring razor blades or any other sharp instruments to the school.

21 Those who failed to pay the fees will not be permitted to write the examination.

22. VIth standard onwards, everyone is advised to be the member of any of the clubs.

23. The disciplines, chosen for the co-curricular activities, are expected to be continued for minimum 3 years.

24. Participation of all students in the Arts Fest and Sports Meet is to be assured.

25. The school documents/services can’t be demanded in- stantlyfromtheoffice.Parentsshouldfollowtheprocedureand respect timelines.

26. The parents or guardians are not allowed to use camera or mobile phone to take photographs of the students in the school premises. The photographs of the performance or any other activity in the school are the property of the school authority and the same can’t be used for any personal use without the permission from the Principal.

27. The text, graphics, and pictures from any school documents/publications/website should not be used for any private purpose without the premission from the school authority. Their use is Protected by Copy Right Laws and the offence will be dealt legally.

28. The school transport facility can be accessed by the students

who clear the dues in time. The school days and special

occasions. Parents should get prior information from the

in-charge person whether the bus service is available on

special days.

29. Parents or guardians can’t substitute themselves with relatives or other ‘Special persons’ for parents teacher meetings. The parents are requested to record in the Student Diary their inconvenience/ reason for being absent on such meetings.

30. The school does not advocate the prolonged use of internet

or social media by students. The parents are requested to

have a sensible restriction on such matters.

31.ApplicationforT.C.shouldbesubmittedatofficebytheparent at least 3 days in advance. T.C. will be issued only after all the pending dues are cleared.

Fees for the year will be collected in four instalments fees for every term is to be paid before 10th of every month.

Tuition fees for the whole year can be paid as lump sum at the beginning of the school year. Fee, once collected, will not be refunded. Fee card should be brought at the time of fee remittance by the students or the parent.

1. Parents are expected to countersign in the memos, written by teacher.

2. Parents are invited to the school and to act creatively in the process of learning of the child.

3. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct of the pupil will invite disciplinary action.

4. Make use of the pages in the diary to inform anything to the class teacher.

5. Parents are not allowed to meet their children during school hours.

6. Parents are expected to take part in the formal meetings and gatherings, to be held in school premises, especially in the open houses.

9. In case the student is absent on any reason, it should be informed in the morning itself.

The rapid progress of the school largely depends on the generosity and good will of the parents and guardians. They are earnestly requested to co-operate with the school by enforcing regularity and discipline at home and take active and helpful interest in the activities of the school

The parents are requested to meet the teachers atleast once a month (from 3.30p.m. to 4.00p.m.)

Parents are exepected to sign the progress report or any other similar documents when so requested. Lunch packets or any other things brought for students shall be left with the school peon after labeling them.
