Enhance your child’s reading experience and prevent the “summer slide!” Research has shown that public library summer reading programs have helped children maintain their reading skills during summer vacation. We invite children entering first through sixth grade to join our reading program. Participation is easy! Members keep track of the books they have read at home and visit anytime during library hours to play the Reading Club Game. Children who complete the program will receive a certificate, participation gift and an invitation to the Summer Reading Club Carnival on Friday, August 12.

Smart Start for Babies, Toddlers and PreschoolersJuly 5 through August 11. In-person registration begins July 5.

Learning begins at birth, so it is important to focus on early literacy skills even for the youngest children. To this end we are offering a program for children ages

birth to 5 years. Participation is simple —just read, sing or do fingerplays

with your child at home. Record the activities you have shared and

Summer Reading Club Kick-off The Live T.V.
