SAINIK SCHOOL REWARI
SECTOR-4, REWARI (HARYANA)
Introduction
1. Sainik School Rewari was inaugurated on 29 Aug 08 by
the then, Hon'ble Raksha Mantri. The proposed per-
manent location of the school is at village Gothra Tappa Khori,
District Rewari (Haryana), situated 15 km south - west of
Rewari town on Rewari- Narnaul Road. The school is
temporarily functioning from Govt Girls Senior Secondary
School, Sector-4, Rewari. The State Government has handed
over Youth Hostel, Rao Tula Ram Stadium, Rewari for
temporary use as a residential complex for the cadets.
Pre-fab shelters are constructed to accommodate the boys
in Hostel.
Aim
2. The primary aim of the school is to prepare boys
(a) To remove regional imbalance in the officer cadre of the defence services. (b)To develop qualities of body, mind and character which will enable the young boys of today to become good and useful; citizens of tomorrow. (c)To bring public school education within the reach of the common man.
Curriculum
3. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary
Education, New Delhi and will also become a member of the
Indian Public Schools Conference. The school has classes
from VI to Class XII. In Senior Secondary Class i.e. XI & XII,
the school follows as Science Stream with an aim of
preparing boys for entry into NDA. The construction of
Academic block and some staff quarters at permanent
location is nearing completion. Haryana Govt has also paced
up the action on construction of cadets’ Hostel and Mess
Block at new location so as to operate Sainik School Rewari
at new location at the earliest.
Sports and other co curricular activities are given equal
emphasis along with the academics in the school so as to
develop an all round balanced personality required for
military leader.
Reservation
4. 67% of the seats in each Sainik School will be reserved for boys from the state in which the Sainik School is located. The shortfall, if any, and the remaining seats will be thrown open to boys from other States and Union Territories. 15% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes
and 7 ½ seats for Scheduled Tribes.25% seats are reserved
for children of service personnel including ex-servicemen..
This is done to promote the spirit of National Integration
among the cadets.
School Motto
5. The motto of the school is 'Gyan', 'Sadbhavna', 'Desh
Bhakti' denoting the three primary qualities that the cadets
of this school are expected to imbibe from their education
for the purpose of Nation Building.
School Administration
6. The administration of the school is vested in the Board
of Governors of Sainik Schools Society, an autonomous
body under the Chairmanship of the Defence Minister.
The Chief Minister/ Education Minister of the States in
which Sainik School located are the members of the Board
of Governors.
7. The Principal of the school is an active service officer of
the rank of Colonel (or its equivalent rank of Indian Air Force
or Indian Navy). He is assisted by a Vice Principal and
Administrative Officer who are of the rank of Lt. Col / Major.
8. Teaching staff consists of highly qualified persons who
have the aptitude for Public School education.

Note : Parents are to submit their application to the
School of their respective state.
Admission 9. Admission in the Sainik Schools is done on the basis of
All India Entrance Examination held at various centres all over
India as finalized by the respective Sainik Schools. For Sainik
School Rewari, the written examination will be conducted in
Rewari only.
Note :- Every effort will be made to allot the centre of the
candidate's choice but his examination centre may change
due to administrative reasons. Candidates will not be allowed to
take examination at a centre other than the one allotted to
him. The Principal of the school may cancel an
examination centre if the number of candidates is inadequate or
less at that centre.
AGE & ADMISSION
10. Admission to Sainik School Rewari is offered to boys only (no
provision for girls) in class VI & IX. The candidates born between 2nd
Jul 2006 and 1st Jul 2007 (both days inclusive) are eligible for
admission to class VI and boys born between 2nd Jul 2003 and 1st Jul
2004 (both days inclusive) for admission to class IX. Only one chance
is allowed to each boy to take admission test in any Sainik School.
Application form attached with the prospectus will only be entertained.
Admit Card Form attached with the application should be duly filled in
by the candidate except Roll Number and Centre which will be allotted
by the school. Latest passport size photographs are to be pasted in the
space provided for them in the Application Form and Admit Card.
11. Admission in Sainik Schools is done on the basis of a merit list
which is prepared by adding up the marks scored by a candidate in the
Written Test and Interview subject to the condition that he is found fit by
the designated medical authority. Merely qualifying the Written Test does
not confer the right of admission to a candidate.
12. The parents willing for admission of their sons/wards in other
Sainik Schools in case they are qualified but low in merit in this school
can request for admission as full fee paying cadets in other Sainik
Schools subject to the availability of vacancies. For such admission, they
will however be required to give an undertaking, that they are willing to
admit their sons/wards in other Sainik Schools as full fee paying cadets
and will not seek inter school transfer from that school at a later date.
Choice of Sainik School can be given in the Application Form in the
following manner:-

(c) (Name of Sainik School of 3rd Choice)
(d) (An undertaking certificate that they will not seek inter
School transfer at a later date.)

Scheme of the Written Test
13. All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination for the
session 2017-18 will be held on 15 January (Sunday) 2017.
Change in date if any will be communicated through print
media. The programme of Entrance Examination is given
below: -

Note: -
(i) Medium of examination for both VI & IX will be
English or Hindi. The question paper for class VI will be in
English or Hindi. But the question papers for class IX will
be in English only. No separate answer sheets will be
provided for both VI & IX as ample space for answers is
provided in the question papers. Approximately 105 boys
will be admitted to Class VI and 20 boys to class IX in
session 2017-18.
(ii) Only those boys who obtain qualifying marks and have
fared high in the merit list in the written test will be called for
interview and medical examination at a later date.
(iv) The school does not patronize or affiliate any coaching
institute/agent and admissions will be done strictly on the
basis of merit in the Entrance Examination and subject to
medical fitness of the candidates.

14. Prospectus cum Application Forms for admission for
admission to class VI & IX are common for Sainik School
Rewari and the same may be obtained from the Principal
Sainik School Rewari, Sector-4, Rewari (Haryana) Pin-123401
w.e.f. 17 Oct 16 to 18 Nov 16 on all working days between
1000- 1300 hrs by paying cash Rs. 400/- for General and
Defence Category and Rs. 250/- for SC and ST categories.
15. The prospectus may also be obtained by post by
sending an application on plain paper mentioning candidate
address and Category along with a DD of Rs. 450/- for
General and Defence Category and Rs. 300/- for SC and ST
Category, drawn in favour of Principal, Sainik School Rewari,
payable at PNB District Secretariat, Rewari (Code No. 4681).
16. Applications submitted on forms other than the
prescribed forms attached to this prospectus will not be
entertained. Application Forms/Prospectus would be issued to
individuals and it is non- transferable. Forms would not be
given to Institutions/ Coaching Centres. No person is
allowed to purchase more than two prospectuses at a
time.
Last date of Submission of Application Form
17. Duly completed applications are to reach Principal,
Sainik School Rewari, Sector-4, Rewari (Haryana) -123401 latest
by 30 Nov 2016 School will not be responsible on account of
postal delay, if any.
18. A latest passport size photograph of the applicant, duly
signed by the applicant on the photograph, is to be pasted on
the application form and admit card. A copy of the same
photograph is required to be produced to the officer In Charge of
the examination centre.
Announcement of Results
19. Result will be published on 08 Feb 17 in the leading
newspapers. The candidates called for the interview and
medical will be informed separately by post also.
Interview and Medical Examination
20. Only the candidates notified in the merit list of the Written
Test will be called for the Interview and Medical
Examination. The interview will be conducted at Sainik School
Rewari. The interview will consist of 50 marks. The Medical
Examination will be conducted at Base Hospital, Delhi Cant.,
Delhi or at the Hospital notified by the school.
Merely qualifying the interview/medical examination
does not confer any right to admission in Sainik
Schools.
21. Written Test and Interview marks can be obtained from
the school by sending a written application along with a DD of
Rs. 100/- in favour of Principal, Sainik School Rewari, payable
at PNB, District Secretariat, Rewari (Code No. 4681).
Documents Required at the time of admission
22. Parents/Guardians of boy must submit the following
documents at the time of admission: -
(a) Transfer Certificate from the previous school duly
countersigned by DEO concerned along with Birth
Certificate from Registrar 'Deaths & Births' as proof of
age. In case of sons of serving defence personnel/
Ex-servicemen, documents maintained by their Records
Office will also be required.
(b) Certificate of domicile and affidavit of domicile issued
by District Magistrate/Magistrate Class I of the District of
domicile. Please see Appendices 'A' & 'B'.
(c) Affidavit of income & income certificate duly attested/
issued by Magistrate Class-I of concerned district, if seeking
scholarship. Please see Appendices 'C' and 'D'.
(d) Agreement Form as at Appx 'E' duly filled in and signed
on non judicial stamp paper of Rs. 3/-
(e) A bond prescribed by the scholarship granting author-
ity, (For Haryana domicile only) as Appx 'F'.
Joining Instructions
23. Joining instructions are issued to the boys selected
for admission. Once admission is accepted, the boy is given
a school number, which remains with him throughout his
stay in the school. All correspondence and documents
pertaining to the boy should bear his school number.
All articles brought from home by the boy should be
marked with this school number, in good non erasable
ink or paint.
School Fees Charges
24. The fees and charges are as under:-
*(a) Tuition Fees Rs. 59,500/- and Dietary Charges Rs.
28,320/- per annum;
(b) Clothing Charges Rs.1500/- per annum.
(c) Pocket money Rs. 1500/-
(d) Security deposit of Rs. 3,000/- for general and defence
Category (Rs. 1,500/- in case of SC/ST category). Security
money collected at the time of admission is refundable at
the time boy leaves the school after deduction of outstanding
dues, if any. However, if the boy is withdrawn on parents
request without giving two months advance notice, the security
money will be forfeited.
(e) Incidental charges Rs. 1500/- per boy.
* Can be increased/decreased by order of Sainik Schools
Society. Annual expenditure on clothing & incidental
charge, if more, the extra amount will be debited from boy’s
account.
(The above charges are subject to change as per the
direction received from Sainik Schools Society from time
to time and school authority.)
Payment
25. All the school dues are to be paid in advance by
demand draft in favour of the Principal, Sainik School Rewari,
payable at PNB, District Secretariat, Rewari (Code No. 4681).
26. Boys from whom fees/dues have not been received
are liable to be sent back home at the risk and expenses of
their parents.
27. Character Certificateor School Leaving
Certificate will not be issued to the boy till all
outstanding dues are paid to the school.
Personal Clothing
28. Clothing items provided to the boy by the school for
the sake of uniformity cost of these clothing items is to be
borne by the parents is as per Appx 'G'. The list of personal
clothing which is to be provided by the parents/guardians at
the time of admission of the boy is given in Appx. 'H '
No expenses on this account may be incurred till a boy
is found medically fit and is finally called for admission.
29. The academic session is from April to March.
30. The summer vacation is generally of 7 weeks duration
from mid May to June. In addition there is one short break in
the Month of December.
Promotion
31. Promotion is made after carefully considering the boy's
performance as a whole, and is not based on the results
of
the final examination exclusively-10- -11-

32. The medium of instruction is English, with Hindi as a
compulsory subject.
33. Private tuition is not permitted. However, the school
makes special arrangements for extra classes for boys weak
in studies. The Parents/Guardians are advised to make such
private tuition arrangements during the vacation.
Progress Reports to Parents
34. Parents are kept informed about the progress of their
wards from time to time. They are also advised to be in touch
with the school to purposefully watch the progress of their
wards.
35. Apart from the academic aspect, boys are subject to
the obligations inherent in community living. They are required
to conform to that code of honour and conduct on which good
citizenship is founded. Good manners and discipline form
an integral part of the training.
Co-curricular Activities
36. These activities play a very important part in the
training given at the school. The scheme provides ample
scope for development of the student's creative faculties and
skills. The boys learn by doing and participating in these
activities according to their aptitudes. All the boys are
expected to take part in these activities.
Physical Education
37. The school provides facilities for games and sports in
addition to P.T. which is compulsory.
Medical Attention
38. The school has a part-time Medical Officer from the
Govt of Haryana & a full time Nursing Assistant. Serious
illness will be informed to the parents immediately. A
routine medical examination is carried out and record of
health, weight and height is kept by the school.
Catering
39. The school has a Mess functioning on outsourced
contract. All the boys have their meals together under the
immediate supervision of the teachers. The food served is
decided by a messing committee, consisting of boys and
members of staff.
Daily Routine
40. The boys have a full day routine consisting of P.T. in
the morning followed by academic classes, study periods,
games, Hobby classes and private study. Holidays are
utilized for extra co-curricular activities and extra classes.
Dress
41. Each student at the beginning of the school term is
required to bring with him certain articles of clothing (Please
see Appx 'H'). Certain clothing items are provided to the boys
by the school for the sake of uniformity (see Appx 'G'). The
cost of such items is to be borne by the parents.
42. The daily summer working dress consists of Khaki
shirts with shoulder flashes showing house colour, Khaki
Trousers and black leather shoes with black socks. In
winter, a woolen army-pattern long-sleeved jersey pullover
is worn over the shirt.
Withdrawal
43. Notice of withdrawal must be given two month in
advance. Failure in giving such a notice will entail the forfeiture
of caution money (Security Money).

44. The Principal can, in the interest of the school have
a boy student removed from the school for the following
reasons:-
(a) Where in his opinion the boy has failed to
obey/conform to the discipline of the school and his
continued presence is detrimental to the general interest
of the others.
(b) Where the boy fails to come up to the required
academic standard.
(c) The principal may send the boy home or withdraw
him from the school at the parents' risk and responsibility at
any stage if it is proved that admission and scholarship have
been obtained on production of false documents.
School Magazine
45. The school bring out its Annual magazine every session
and News Letter periodically.
Library
46. The school maintains a Library cum Reading Room. A
number of magazines, periodicals and news papers are
provided for education.
Educational Aids
47. The school has internet and computers facility which
is used for instructional purpose.
House System
48. The boys are divided into various houses which
comprise of the students from different classes (VI to XII)
to develop camaraderie and foster a sense of
belongingness.
Student Appointments
49. To promote qualities of leadership, self reliance and
co-operation amongst the boys, the school follows a
system of students' appointment. The School Captain is
the senior most appointment. He is responsible to the
Principal for the overall discipline of all the boys in the
school. He is assisted by Vice Captain. Every House has a
House Captain who is responsible for the discipline of the
boys of that particular House. The House Captains are
assisted by Prefects. All appointments are distinguished by
distinctive shoulder rank badges. The class monitors are
also appointed to look after the boys during academic hours.
Indemnity
50. The school authorities or any staff of the school will
not be liable for any damage on account of injuries total or
otherwise, which may be sustained by a boy at anytime during
his stay in the school, while taking part in P.T. sports, athletics
exclusions, tours etc.
Visiting Hours
51. Parents are permitted to visit the school to meet boys
between 1000 to 1300 hours once in a month on Sundays.
Leave is generally not granted to boys during the term
except in exceptional circumstances.

52. Parents wishing to meet the Principal are advised to
make prior appointment either by letter or on telephone No.

Care of Property
53. All belongings of the boys must be clearly marked. Boys
are responsible for the care of their own property. Whilst normal
precautions are taken, the school accepts no responsibility
for their property being lost or damaged on the premises. Any

damage caused to the school property by the boys or loss of
clothing, books or other articles will be charged from the par-
ents/guardians concerned.
Scholarships
54. A number of scholarships are awarded by the State
Government tenable in the school located in their respective
states.
55. Parents/Guardians of the recipients of Government
scholarship are required to execute a bond to the effect that
if their son/ward does not take the competitive examination
of the Union Public Service Commission for admission to the
National Defence Academy or having taken the examination
does not join the Academy, if selected, they would have to
refund to the Government concerned, the value of scholar-
ships availed of by their son/ward during his stay in the school.
This will also be the position if he leaves the school at any
intermediate stage without taking the examination of the Union
Public Service Commission. The agreement to be signed by
parents is given at Appendix 'E'. Parents/ Guardians of boys
in receipt of scholarship from Governments are required to
execute separate bonds prescribed by the state Governments.
56. Before a scholarship is sanctioned, parents/guardians
are required to produce the documents mentioned in para
23.
57. The responsibility to pay school dues on account of
stoppage, non-grant or cut in scholarship by the scholarship
granting authority for any reason will rest with the parents.
58. Scholarship will only be granted on the understanding
that the boy will be on constant probation for the period he is
in the school. If at any time the Principal feels that a boy is
not justifying the scholarship granted by the State/Central
Government, he can withdraw the scholarship. Details of
scholarships are given in Appendix 'I'. For getting scholarship
the parents are to submit an affidavit and application as given
Appendices 'J' & 'K'.
59. The scholarship granting authority may revise or
stipulate conditions for grant of scholarship. For continuance
of scholarship, it is necessary that the scholars maintain
satisfactory progress in their studies, and are not reported
adversely regarding discipline and that a scholarship holder
under one scheme does not draw a scholarship/financial
assistance of any kind from any other source.
Parents and Guardians
60. Parents & guardians are requested to co-operate with
the school in maintaining discipline and establishing healthy
traditions by:
(a) Acknowledging promptly all school circulars regarding
fees, escorts, progress reports and complying with instructions
regarding extra tutorial attention to be given during the
vacation.
(b) Not asking for leave during terms except in exceptional
cases.
(c) Not visiting the boys other than on prescribed days/
Occasion.
(d) Equipping the boys properly with clothing and necessary.
(e) Not sending sweets and other eatables.
(f) Ensuring that the boy reports the school on the due date
and time after each vacation/specific leave.
(g) Not sending clothing which has not been included in the
list of authorised clothing (however, boys proceeding to colder
climates during the vacation must be provided with suitable
warm clothing by the parents).

(h) Ensure that the boy is not in possession of Mobile
phone, large sum of money and valuable articles such as
gold chains, costly watches, rings, studs etc.
(i) By writing the boy's school Numbers, Name, House and
class on all letters addressed to him.
(j) Indicating the School Number, Name, Class and House
of the boy in all correspondence with the school and enclosing
a self addressed, stamped envelope if a reply is expected.
(k) Parents under no circumstances are permitted to visit
class-rooms or dorms.
(l) PTA meeting is held in every session as per school
calendar and it is desirable that all parents must attend.
Medical Standard for Admission to Sainik School
61. All candidates before admission to the Sainik School
will be subjected to a medical examination by a Board
consisting of Military/ civil doctors. The standard of health
and medical fitness would be the same as laid down for the
NDA Examination. In view of the tender age of the boys,
however, no standards of height, weight and chest measure-
ment will be applicable at the time of admission.
62. The decision of the Medical Board will be final, except
where a representation has been made to the Principal. The
Principal will examine the appeal himself and decide with
reference to the evidence produced before him if the case
calls for a review. Medical opinion contrary to the findings of
the previous medical board (s) will normally merit a review.
The Principal may arrange a review medical board for
re-examination of the candidates. If the review medical board
finds him medically fit for admission, the Principal will consider
him for admission to the School. The School will charge a
fee of Rs. 100/- (Rs.50/- from SC/ST) for holding a review
medical board. Additional expenditure, if any will be borne by
the School. However, the candidate will be required to
appear before the Review Medical Board at the designated
place at his own expense. In case the Review Medical Board
finds him fit for admission the fee charge from the parent for
Review Medical Board will be refunded.
63. The minimum acceptable visual standards will be as
under:-
(i) Standard I
Distant Vision (uncorrected 6/6 (Both eyes)
(ii) Standard II
Distant Vision-better eye 6/6 Worse eye
6/18 Correctable to 6/6 and 6/9
The minimum acceptable visual standard for admission to Sainik School will be standard II. Candidates with visual standard II admitted to NDA after successful completion of their training in Sainik School may be found fit for Army only.
Note :- (i) Myopia not to exceed minus 1.5 including astigmatism.
(ii) Manifast Hypermyopia not to exceed plus 2.5 Sph
including astigmatism.
(iii) Fundus @ Media to be healthy with no changes
by myopia.
(iv) Visual Fields to be full in each eye.
(v) Minocular vision and steropsis must be good.
(vi) The colour Blindness should not exceed CP-III Mild
Trachoma State III or IV with a regressive coreal pannus of
not more than 1 to 2 mm may be accepted in the opinion
of the specialist, exacerbation of deterioration are not
likely
(v) There is no evidence of weak constitution, imperfect
development, serious malformation or obesity weight should
not exceed the upper limit laid down in standard scale for 11
years.
(vi) The age restriction is between 10-11 years.
(vii) There is normal development or impairment of function
of the bone joints.

(iv) There is no impediment of speech like stammering etc.
(v) There is no malformation of the head, deformity from
fracture or depression of the bones of the skull.
(vi) There is no impaired hearing, discharge from or
disease of either ear unhealed or perforation of the
tympanic membrane or signs of acute or chronic suppurative
otitis Media of evidence of radical or modified radical mastoid
operation.
Note :-
A soundly healed perforation without any impairment of the
mobility of the drum and without any impairment of hearing
should not be a cause of rejection.
(vii) There is no disease of the bones of cartilages of the
nose or nasal polypus disease or of the nasopharynx and
accessory sinuses.
Viii) There are no enlarged glands in the neck and other
parts of the body and that thyroid gland is normal
Note :-
Scars of the person for the removal of tuberculosis glands
are not a cause for rejection provided that there has been no
active disease with in the preceding 5 years and the chest is
clinically and radio logically clear.
(ix) There is no disease of throat palates, tonsil or of gums
disease or injury affecting the normal function of either
mandibular joints.
Note :- Simple hypertrophy of the tonsils, if there is no history of
attacks of tonsillitis, is not a cause of rejection.
(x) There is no sign of functional or organic disease of
the heart and blood vessels.
(xI) There is no evidence of pulmonary tuberculosis or
previous history of this disease or any other chronic disease
of the lungs like Asthma etc.
(xii) There is no evidence of any disease of digestive
system including any abnormality of the liver and spleen.
(xiii) There is no hernia or tendency thereto.
(xiv) There is no hydrocele or definite veriocele or other
disease of defect of the genital organs
Note :- A candidate who has been operated upon for
hydrocele will be accepted if there are no abnormalities of
the cord and testicle and there is no evidence of filariasis.
(xv) There is no fistula and / or fissure of the anus or
evidence of heamrrhoids.
(xvi) There is no disease of the kidney, All cases of
Albuminiuria and Glycosura will be rejected.
(xvii) There are no diseases of the skin of allergic nature
like aczema, chronic ulticurea etc. are likely to cause disability
or marked disfigurement is a cause for rejection.
(xviii) There is no active, latent congenital venereal disease.
(xix) There is no history of evidence of mental disease.
Candidate suffering from epilepsy incontinence of urine or
enuresis will not be accepted.
(xx) There is no squint of morphed condition of the eye or
of the lids which are liable to a risk is aggravation or
recurrence.
(xxi) There is no active trachoma or its complications.
Note :-
Remedial operations are to be performed prior to entry.

4. That in consideration of the student being admitted by the
Governors to the Sainik School for the purpose of the aforesaid
education at the request of the Guarantor , convenants with Gov-
ernors that the student will attend the Sainik School regularly and
will observe and comply with all the rules and regulations thereof
for the prescribed period or until he is declared fit for admission to
any institution as may from time to time be prescribed by the Gov-
ernors, for training for entry to the Regular Armed Forces and that
he, the Guarantor shall pay to the Governors regularly and promptly
and when ever called upon to do so all the fees as prescribed , if
he is not in receipt of any scholarship.
5. That for any reasons not beyond the control of either the
student or the Guarantor the student fails to pursue his studies at
the said school before appearing for selection for entry to any
institution as may from time to time be prescribed by the Gover-
nors for training for entry to the Regular Armed Forces or fails to
age permits him to do so, according to the rules and regulations.
6. For the time being in force or having been declared suc-
cessful at the said selection, does not proceed to one of the said
institutions to which he may be directed to proceed for being trained
for entry into the Regular Armed Forces or having joined the said
institutions fails to complete the training thereat for entry into the
Regular Armed Forces or fails to join the Regular Armed Forces
after completing the training at the said institution, then and if any
such case the Guarantor shall forthwith pay to the Governors, in
cash, the sum of scholarship the student has received from the
school and/or the State government/Central government the value
of the scholarship he has received for the period the student was at
the said school.
7. That if after admission any of the following viz, proof of Do-
micile, certificate of age and statement of income supplied by the
Guarantor, is found to be false in any way or not in order, the Guar-
antor shall forthwith pay to the Governors, in cash, the sum of schol-
arship the student has received from the school and/or the State
government/Central government the value of the scholarship he
has received for the period the student was at the said school.
8. That if after admission, the student is found to be medically
unfit in any way at the time which might, according to the opinion of
the appropriate medical authority, render him unfit for his future
entry to the Regular Armed Forces, the student will be withdrawn at
once, but it would be open to the Guarantor to retain him at the
school on payment of the full fee prescribed by the Governors from
the date the student is found medically unfit.
9. That the Governors will not be liable for any damages/
charges on account of injuries which may be sustained by the stu-
dent at any time during his stay in the school while taking part in
sports or other extra-curricular activities of the school. All expenses
that may be incurred in treatment of such injuries will be borne by
the parent/guardian as provided in rules of the said school.
10. And that if there is any dispute as to the effect or meaning
of these presents or in any way touching or arising out these pre-
sents, the same shall be referred to the sole arbitration of the Board
of Governors, Sainik Schools, whose decision shall be final.

yearly scholarship including clothing allowance (if granted) at such

and sureties executing a bond.
And whereas the above bounden persons have executed the above
written bond.
Now the conditions of the above written bond are that:-
1 The student shall regularly and diligently pursue his studies
at the school and take and go on taking National Defence Academy
Examination, so long as his age permits him to do so according to
the rules and regulations for the time being in force for entry to the
Regular Armed Forces of India, till he is selected therein and when
selected the student shall proceed to the institution to which he may
be directed for being trained for entry into the Regular Armed Forces.
2. The student shall observe and comply with all the rules and
regulations regarding the study, discipline and conduct as may be
prescribed by the authorities of the school from time to time.

3. The student shall show diligence in the promotion of his
studies at school and strictly confirm to the rules for the award of
scholarship framed by the Govt and the instructions which may be
issued by the Govt from time to time.
4. That if for any reasons not beyond the control of either the
student or the Guarantor the student fails to pursue his studies at
the said school before appearing for selection for entry to any insti-
tution, as may from time to time be prescribed by the Govt. for
training for entry to the regular Armed Forces or fails to appear for
the said selection till such time as his Age permits him to do so,
according to the rules and regulations for the time being in forces
or having been declared successful at the said selection does not
proceed to one of the said institutions to which he may be directed
to proceed for being trained for entry into the Regular Armed Forces
or fails to join the Regular Armed Forces after completing the train-
ing at the said institution, then and if in any such case, the Guaran-
tor shall forthwith pay to the Govt. in cash the sum of scholarship
the student has received from the school and/or the State Govt.
the value of the scholarship he has received for the period the
student was at the said school.
5. The above bounden principal shall communicate any
change in his income to the Principal, Sainik School Rewari imme-
diately.
6. The student shall not leave the school at any intermediate
stage.
7. On default or break of any of the above mentioned condi-
tions, the above bounden persons shall well and truly repay all
money paid to the student on account of scholarship and clothing
allowance, if granted, with interest thereon from the date of de-
mand at Govt. rates for the time being in force on the Govt. loan
then the above written bond or obligation shall be void, otherwise
the same shall remain in full force and virtue.
8. Provided always that if it comes to the knowledge of the
Govt. that a scholarship or part thereof has been obtained on the
basis of false furnished by the principal the amount of scholarship
so obtained shall become immediately re-payable on demand and
may be recovered from the principal and the sureties jointly and
severally.

will be taken as total income for the purpose of scholarship.
(ii) Income from basic pay, Grade Pay special pay, deputation pay
and income from other sources such as income from land
property, business or any other profession will be taken as the
total income.
2. The State Government scholarship will only be granted to a
student on production of a domicile certificate signed by an officer
not below the rank of Magistrate II Class within whose jurisdiction
the parents/ guardian of the student has acquired domicile. The
student must also satisfy any one of the following conditions.
(a) His actual home is in Haryana.
(b) He is born in Haryana and has lived in the state
upto the date of application.
(c) His father was born in Haryana and has lived in the
state for the major portion of his life.
(d) He or his father has lived in Haryana continuously
for last seven years prior to the date of application.
(e) The award of scholarship is subject to the
recommendations of the Principal regarding good
4. A bond undertaking to refund to the Haryana Govt. the schol-
arship availed of by the student subject to the conditions laid down
therein is to be executed (The bond will be signed by the parent
who is granted Haryana Govt. Scholarship at the time of admis-
sion).
5. In case where the Transfer Certificate from a school not
recognized by the educational authorities of the State is produced,
a birth certificate from Municipality is required to be submitted as
proof of age.
6. The scholarship may be stopped at any time if the student
fails in any class during his stay in school or on account of indisci-
pline or lack of good conduct. The decision of the Principal in this
matter is final and no appeal would be acceptable.
Ministry of Defence Scholarship
The scheme for award of scholarship to the children of Jun-
ior Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks of the Army and their
equivalents Indian Navy and Indian Air Force is as under:-
(a) In case of serving personnel of Defence Services : The
amount of scholarship has been determined on the basis of rank.
The admissible scholarship to children of service personnel is as
under :-
(i) Children of NCOs - Full Scholarship
and ORs or their equivalent in (Rs. 32,000/-
other two services per annum)
(ii) Children of JCOs or their - Half Scholarship equivalent in other two services (Rs. 16,000/-
per annum)
