MARSHA MARTIN Scholarships:

Texas Farm Credit will present $2,000 postsecondary scholarships to six future ag leaders. Winners will be announced in May. In addition, each of the six Marsha Martin scholarship winners will also have a $500 contribution made in their honor to their FFA or 4-H club.

The annual scholarship program is named in honor of Paris, Texas, native Marsha Pyle Martin, a strong advocate for youths and agriculture who passed away in 2000 following a 30-year career in Farm Credit. At the time, she was board chairman and chief executive officer of the Farm Credit Administration.

Since 2000, Texas Farm Credit has awarded more than $158,000 in scholarships in Martin’s name.

T EXAS FARM CREDIT SERVICES has a mission to support agriculture and rural communities today and tomorrow. Our customer-owned cooperative proudly offers two programs that recognize high school seniors who excel in the classroom and in their FFA chapters and 4-H clubs.

Ag Student of the Month:

Each of Texas Farm Credit’s 18 branches will recognize two outstanding students per month in March and April 2021. Winners will receive $100 Visa gift cards and will advance to the selection process for the Marsha Martin Scholarship program.
