MCCS ScholarshipMCCS Scholarship

Members of Churches of Christ for Scouting (MCCS) is pleased to request applications for its 2019 Scholarship. The scholarship is for college bound students (Freshmen) and will be awarded in May of 2019 and paid directly to an accredited academic institution to be applied to the account of the recipient in August of 2019. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $2500.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must have earned the highest scouting award available in their respective scouting area (see below). Applicants must have also earned the MCCS Giving Servant Award.

Application Requirements

_____ Cover letter including a statement of your goals and aspirations_____ Proof of having been awarded the Eagle Scout, Venturing Silver or Summit, Sea Scout Quartermaster, GSUSA Gold, TLUSA Freedom or AHG Stars and Stripes Award_____ Record of receipt of the MCCS Giving Servant Award (MCCS will confirm)_____ Letter of recommendation from an unrelated scouting leader_____ Letter of recommendation from an unrelated church leader (elder, deacon, minister or teacher)_____ Letter of recommendation from an unrelated teacher, counselor or school administrator _____ 2 page essay "What Having the Heart of a Servant Means to Me"_____ Resume of your accomplishments

The applicant must include all the above materials in the application packet (letters of recommendation in sealed envelop with signature of recommender on back flap) or request that letters be mailed directly to:
