4. Issue exercise 01 –

4. Start Exercise 02 – Design a webpage using Dreamweaver. Create a new webpage file, label it with a title, write information down, and apply a background colour, link colours, hyperlink, email address, image, text decoration, and inserting a video.

3 Getting Started with & Using Adobe Dreamweaver (2) 1. Learners have the first

hour to complete Exercise 02 from Week 2. Any learners that have completed work will be issued extension/additional exercise.

2. Learners to pair up and feedback on their webpages designed in Exercise 02 from Week 2.

3. Load Week 3 PowerPoint & give out Week 3 hand-outs

4. Demonstrate where learners can access suitable webpage template documents within Dreamweaver.

5. Lecture / tutorial on ‘Site Control’

1. Continue/Complete Exercise 02 – Design a webpage using Dreamweaver. Create a new webpage file, label it with a title, write information down, and apply a background colour, link colours, hyperlink, email address, image, text decoration, and inserting a video.

2. Give feedback to the person sitting next to them on their webpage created.

3. Investigate the webpage templates available in Dreamweaver.

3. Exercise 01 – Demonstrate how to create a banner using tools learnt previous week, the brush tool.

4. Introduce learners to www.brusheezy.com where brushes can be downloaded & used in Photoshop.

5. Exercise 02- Demonstrate how to resize images in Photoshop. Use files uploaded in Week 7 folder.

6. Exercise 03- Get learners are to use graphics created on a webpage template.

1. Exercise 01 – create a banner using tools learnt last week plus the brush tool, use download brushes from www.brusheezy.com and applying layer styles to specific layers.

2. Exercise 02 – Resize

images given by Lecturer (Week 7 folder) in Adobe Photoshop.

3. Download Week 7

exercise files from system personal login space or USB stick.

4. Exercise 03 – Using

images created in Adobe Photoshop, apply them to a webpage template in the Week 7 folder. Webpage template can be customised using skills and knowledge learnt in Week 5.

9 The Assignment & Devising a Web Design Contact 1. Load Week 9

PowerPoint & give out Assignment Pack, information pack on devising a web design contract.

2. 10 minute lecture on questions to ask a client when collecting the requirements for a website project, producing a site & mind map for website project and planning a suitable website.

3. Issue Assignment. Discuss what is required, advice learners how to start and how to collect information from the internet for their website.

4. Monitor learner’s progress of their assignment.

1. Listen / take part in

discussion on devising a web design contact and planning a suitable website.

2. Read assignment pack.

Review / listen / take part in discussion on the assignment issued.

3. Start assignment.

Learners are to make a website to a specific brief. Learners can either start their project by creating their graphics in Photoshop first or choosing a suitable template and customising it to fit the requirements mentioned in the brief.

4. Learners to collect their

information using news website on the Internet and refer to Week 9 handout on how to download and save their data.
