Don facemask, connect LDV, depress and hold down selector knob on LDV and take a breath 0 mask should pull tiht to your face. 1old your breath for a few seconds to check the seal. -eopen cylinder. 12D liht check! Depress either button on side of Sentinel and all lihts on 12D should be displayed. Shut o/ tank and slowly breathe while #iewin Sentinel. 3ou should hear two beeps at ))%% PS& for 4%5 warnin. Continue breathin slowly. Low air alarms should acti#ate between "%%% and ")%% PS&. 'red lihts 6ash, whistle sounds and intermittent chirp(. -emo#e face mask, bleed remainin air out of unit, reset LDV selector knob to Donnin mode. &t is recommended that the facemask remain attached to the LDV on PBA.

SCBA Daily Checkout PSS 7000All personnel are responsible for morning checkout of their own PBA and facemask.

Don PBA unit and check hoses, straps and buckles for function. Check that the LDV is in Don mode and open cylinder. Look at Sentinel display for the following:1. Cylinder pressure should be above 4100 PSI. (If not, cylinder needs changing after checkout.)2. Time of use remaining should be over 32.3. Battery display bar must be at least at or battery needs changing. (Call air program when battery display bar is at ). Remain motionless for twenty seconds checking PASS for activation. Move to reset and remain motionless again until unit goes into full alarm mode. Depress both buttons to reset. Press yellow panic button check for activation of alarm. Reset panic alarm. Perform unit leak check: shut off tank, PSI on Sentinel should not drop more than 30 PSI in 10 seconds. Perform facemask leak check: Don facemask, connect LDV, depress and hold down selector knob on LDV and take a breath mask should pull tight to your face. Hold your breath for a few seconds to check the seal. Reopen cylinder. HUD light check: Depress either button on side of Sentinel and all lights on HUD should be displayed. Shut off tank and slowly breathe while viewing Sentinel. You should hear two beeps at 2200 PSI for 50% warning. Continue breathing slowly. Low air alarms should activate between 1000 and 1200 PSI. (red lights flash, whistle sounds and intermittent chirp). Remove face mask, bleed remaining air out of unit, reset LDV selector knob to Donning mode. It is recommended that the facemask remain attached to the LDV on PBA. Check that straps are extended and that all parts are secure from falling into the way of closing doors.
