A no-kill 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue shelter serving New York City’s
homeless animals since 1998 We are dedicated to our mission and if you love animals you should be too!
Every day thousands of animals in shelters across the nation are euthanized unnecessarily. There are so many ways you can make a difference!
To directly help lower the euthanasia rate you can adopt a pet, volunteer, donate, and educate your family and friends. But those are just a few ways to help, for more just ask us.
Meet our newest pets for adoption, see updates on SCAR graduates and find out about upcoming events. To keep up to date with SCAR, like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and join our mailing list.
Sean Casey Animal Rescue is a very
special place. Part rescue shelter, part
adoption center and part community
center.

It's not very big and it's not very fancy,
but what it lacks in size and style, is
made up for tenfold by the people
who work here and the size of the
heart that beats within the shelter
walls.
Sean Casey Animal Rescue is a no kill
shelter. Arriving here is the beginning
of an animal's journey to their forever
home.
Through the efforts of our staff and
volunteers we offer care and
compassion to each and every animal
in our shelter
This is no ordinary shelter.
Animal Rescue is a 24 hour a day, 365
day a year mission. There are always
animals in need. In order for us to be
there to help them we rely on the
kindness and generosity of people like
you.
We provide spay/neuter, vaccinations,
microchips, veterinary care and love
for our animals until we find them a
forever home. We often rescue
animals needing special medical
attention for injuries and/or illnesses.
We are the last chance for these
animals to have a happy and healthy
life. But we can't do it alone, we need
your support!
Please consider a donation to help us
continue to serve the homeless
animals of New York City.
Volunteers are an integral part of the
rescue's daily operations and are
always welcome!
And please always feel
free to just stop by!
Dog Walking: Walks are everyday from
12pm - 6pm
Volunteer orientation classes are held
at the Windsor Terrace Location on the
second and fourth Thursdays of every
month from 7 - 8pm.
