We are pleased to once again welcome you to the 17th Annual “On Target” Bull Sale. It is an honor to be a part of the sale with a great group of consignors and friends that

continue to strive to bring a quality set of bulls for your appraisal year after year. We would like to thank all of our past bidders and buyers for their continued support of our program and welcome your inquiries on this year’s offering. I would also like to give a special thank you to all of those that have helped us out over the past year; we could not do this without your support. Once again this year we partnered with our good friends Chad and Stacey Meunier (CRM Simmentals) to merchandise their bulls. Also this year we have added bulls from another very close friend Mike McCart of Alliance Simmentals. Our partnership with Mike started a couple of years ago when he purchased a very popular female from us “Special”. This female was flushed with Mike on shares over a couple of years and two of the Fullblood bulls on offer are grandsons of this great female. We also added 2 more ET calves from Mike’s red and black program. Due to our limited cow numbers this allows us to offer more options to our great clientele of bull buyers with more genetic diversification and selection. The Simmental bulls on offer have been managed together since weaning on a forage based TMR ration to allow the bulls to show their genetic potential. We welcome visitors to view the bulls any time prior to the sale at the farm and look forward to seeing all of you at the sale barn on March 14th.

Hitman was the $27,000 2nd high seller from the R Plus sale in 2015 that we purchased together with CRM Simmentals. We are extremely pleased with the first calf crop that Hitman produced and look forward to his influence on our breeding program. Hitman saw heavy use in both our programs and at R Plus in 2016.

We were fortunate to purchase a semen package on the $170,000 “Riddler” in 2015. His first calf crop is outstanding with quality progeny of both sexes and we used him again heavily in our AI program in 2016. We look forward to the influence that the “Riddler” has on our black breeding program.

Call of Duty is our maternal brother to Lock and Load and offers the popular black baldy color pattern. This is our 2nd offering from 115A and we believe there are some excellent prospects in this sire group. We are calving his first daughters now and they are exceeding all expectations. Tremendous maternal strength in this sire group.

3 sons on offer from each of these 2 sires. 391A is the calving ease go to bull for the heifer pen and has again sired a consistent set of moderate birth weight useful bulls. 314B was purchased for his overall power and dimension and to complement the 391A progeny. 314B was lost to injury after his first breeding season with a limited semen bank. The Riddler sired bulls are at the top of the bull pen and 411D is true feature. You have to appreciate this bull for his overall dimension and shape and the length of spine. 1D was our heaviest bull for actual yearling weight at 1500lbs the day after returning home from the bull congress. 1D offers our repeat buyers a nice outcross breeding option and is one of the first Ignition sons offered for sale. 1D also offers the highly sought after blaze and is mothered by a tremendous first calving female that has a very bright future ahead of her.
