by Cesar Franck *Call to Worship (Adapted from Subtle Degrees by Rumi)

Love is different. It arrives complete. Just there. Like the moon in the window. Like here. In worship. Now. Different in Love.

*Opening Hymn NCH #423 Great is Your Faithfulness Unison Prayer

Eternal and Gracious God, whose Word is a lamp for our feet, whose Truth beats in our hearts, reconcile us to you and all people. Strengthen us for life anew, as you intended, may it be so.

3 Gospel Reading: John 18:33-37

Pilate went back into the palace and called for Jesus. He said, “Are you the ‘King of the Jews’?” Jesus answered, “Are you saying this on your own, or did others tell you this about me?” Pilate said, “Do I look like a Jew? Your people and your high priests turned you over to me. What did you do?” “My king-dom,” said Jesus, “doesn’t consist of what you see around you. If it did, my followers would fight so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jews. But I’m not that kind of king, not the world’s kind of king.” Then Pilate said, “So, are you a king or not?” Jesus answered, “You tell me. Because I am King, I was born and entered the world so that I could witness to the truth. Everyone who cares for truth, who has any feeling for the truth, recognizes my voice.”

Children’s Message Provocation “Are you or are you not?” Ray Bagnuolo *Hymn SPP #65 As the Grain Was Scattered (Next Page) Prayer for Others and Ourselves

Now, we invite you to enter into a time of prayer and, if you wish, to share your joys and concerns as I come to you with the microphone. We also invite you to write your joys and concerns on one of the prayer cards you will find the pew and placing it in the collection basket during the offertory. May we hear your joys and concerns?

Let us pray the prayer Jesus taught the disciples to pray.
