Tips and Tricks for TravelingBedbugs are far more common

than people realize, and the hotel andtravel industry has been hit thehardest. This is why people who travela lot are at a higher risk of having abedbug problem. Although bedbugsare common, try the following steps tohelp you avoid bedbugs whileyou travel.

Pull back linens to check for signsof bedbugs, exoskeletons andspotting.

Always look behind the headboardif possible.

Always check the dust ruffle onthe bed.

Try not to use the dresserssupplied by the hotel.

Leave all clothing in your luggageat all times.

If you can, put your luggage in thebathroom at night.

When you return home, run any

clothing through a clothes dryer for30 minutes.

Leave luggage outside the home(i.e., garage, storage building, etc.).

Inspect all belongings for any signsof bedbugs.

Foster Strong RelationshipsWhether you have been in a

relationship for six months or16 years, or you plan to be in onesometime in the future, the advice thatexperts offer to keep the bond strongremains the same.

Be a good teammate. Being in arelationship is a two-person job. If youwant it to last, you can’t expect yourpartner to do all of the work, whetherphysical or emotional.

Be positive. Complimenting yourpartner and saying “thank you” aresimple ways to show you care. Whodoesn’t want to feel appreciated?

Apologize when you’re wrong.Everyone makes mistakes, and whenit happens, forget about your prideand offer a sincere apology. If thetables are turned, accept yourpartner’s apology and move on.

Don’t keep score. Your relationshipis not a game. If you do something

nice, you don’t need to announce itjust to get brownie points. By thesame token, if your partner makes amistake, don’t hold it against them tomake yourself look better.

Speak your mind. If you need totalk about something with yourpartner, don’t beat around the bush.Say what you need to say. Hesitatingor being vague, hoping they can figureit out, usually won’t end in your favor.Open communication will help therelationship grow stronger.
