APRIL 2014- MAY 2014

University exams scheduled, hence no activity during this period.

JUNE 2014

1. Kritika Surya (BE E&TC) and Chaitali Zurange (TE E&TC) was selected for „Avhan

Disaster Management Camp‟ which was held from 8th

June to 18th

June, 2014 at Nagpur

organised by the Government of Maharashtra.

JULY 2014

2. 10 volunteers volunteered as “Varkari-Mitra” for 3 days from 21st July to 23

rd July during the

Palki stay at Pune. Security management, water and sanitation management and medical

facilities for the Maulis‟ were undertaken by the volunteers.

3. 30 volunteers along with staff members and P.O. visited “Maher”, an orphanage at Wagholi

on 6th

and 13th

July. Interactive sessions, cultural and shramdan was conducted by the

volunteers.

4. 10 volunteers attended the “State-Level Youth Conference” at Shiv Chhatrapati Krida Sankul

Mahaangule, Balewadi on 19th

July, 2014.

5. 50 volunteers along with P.O. participated in the “Mutha River Cleaning Drive” on 22th

July,

2014 from Mhatre Bridge to Bhide Bridge. Cleaning of the river as well as riverside was

undertaken by the volunteers.

6. All NSS volunteers actively participated in making diaries and collected funds for NSS by

selling these diaries to the staff members of BVCOEW.

AUGUST 2014

7. 50 NSS Volunteers along with staff members and P.O. on account of „Raksha Bandhan‟ on

9th

August, 2014 visited NDRF, Sudumbre, Chakan. The NSS volunteers celebrated this

festival by tying rakhis to the respective officers and Jawans.

8. 100 volunteers participated in “International Youth Week” on HIV awareness which was

celebrated from 4th

August to 12th

August, 2014 in BVCOEW, organised by MHACS and

SPPU. Various activities were conducted during this period like elocution competition, poster

competition and slogan competition. A guest lecture on “importance of health” was delivered

by Dr. Minaz Kulkarni. “Oath Taking Ceremony” was conducted as part of the inauguration

of the event.

9. 150 volunteers along with P.O. and staff members participated in Independence Day which

was celebrated on 15th

August, 2014 at BVCOEW. Poster exhibition was held on account of

Independence Day.

10. P.O. and 2 volunteers attended meeting on Police Mitra Training Program held at

Commissioner office at 20th

August, 2014.

11. 15 volunteers actively participated in “Police-Mitra” preparation at the Commissioner office

from 22nd

August, 2014 to 24th

August, 2014. Making of I-cards, list and distribution of

volunteers in respective police stations were undertaken by the volunteers.

SEPTEMBER 2014

12. 100 volunteers participated in the “Police Duty” during Ganpati Festival from 29th

August,

2014 to 8th

September, 2014.

13. Rasika Tambe (TE-E&TC) and Monika Paygude (TE-E&TC) participated in District-level

selection for PRE-SRD/NRD camp which was organised at Modern College on 3rd

September, 2014.

14. Rasika Tambe (TE-E&TC) participated in University-level selection for PRE-SRD/NRD

camp which was organised at Modern College on 5rd

September, 2014.

15. 100 Volunteers participated in „Police Mitra‟ training program which was organised on 5th

September at Shivajinagar Police ground.

16. Rasika Tambe (TE-E&TC) participated in State-level selection for SRD/NRD camp was held

at Amravati from 12st September to 14

th September, 2014.

17. 150 volunteers along with Principal, P.O., staff members and alumni attended NSS

Foundation Day Foundation program which was celebrated in BVCOEW on 24th

September,

2014. Mr. Santosh Garje, who runs an orphanage in Gevrai, Beed was invited as the guest of

this event. NSS Alumni Volunteers Mamata Yengul, Janaki Yadav and Nupur Jagtap also

attended this event.

OCTOBER 2014

18. 150 volunteers along with the Principal, P.O. and staff members participated in the “Oath

Taking Ceremony” on account of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan on 2nd

October, 2014. Cleaning of

the college was undertaken by the volunteers.

19. 20 volunteers participated in “Swatch Bharat Abhiyan Cleaning Drive” at Dhankawadi,

Katraj. Cleaning of the roads, gutter and dustbins were undertaken by the volunteers

20. 5 volunteers participated in clothes and faral donation activity on the occasion of diwali

organised by NIRMAAN-PARV MANUSKICHE.

21. 150 volunteers along with the Principal, P.O., and staff members participated in the “National

Unity Day” Oath Taking Ceremony on 30th

October, 2014.

22. 5 volunteers participated in camp organised by Mr.Santosh Garge at Gevrai, Beed from 30th

October 2014-1st November 2014.

NOVEMBER 2014

23. Kritika Surya (BE E&TC) attended the “Seminar” delivered by the Education Minister of

Maharashtra at SPPU on 20th

November, 2014. Problems related to education and their

solutions were discussed in the seminar.

24. NSS volunteers along with P.O. and staff members visited the 3-day residential camp

organised by the „Munoth Vidyalaya‟ at Gokulnagar, Katraj on 28th

November, 2014. The

NSS volunteers organised cultural events for the children along with various games. They

also explained the importance of NSS to them and held a value-education seminar for them.

DECEMBER 2014

25. 100 volunteers along with the Principal, P.O. and staff members participated in the “Aids

Awareness Week” on 1st December, 2014 in BVCOEW organised by SPPU. Poster

exhibition regarding awareness about AIDS was undertaken by the volunteers.

26. 5 volunteers attended the 2-day workshop on “Youth Seminar” on sustainable solutions for

access to safe water: promoting innovation and collaboration from 2nd

December, 2014 to 3rd

December, 2014.

27. Vasanta Kamble (TE E&TC) participated in the “State-Level Utkarsha” selection camp on 3rd

December, 2014.

28. Visits to special camps of different colleges by Area Coordinator Prof. Savita Atul Itkarkar:-

29. 5 Volunteers participated in „BALMELA 2014‟ held on 17th

December 2014 at Don Bosco,

Panaji organised by NSS (Goa University).

30. Kritika Surya (BE E&TC) delivered a guest lecture on “Importance of Communication

Skills” at Nevasa, Ahmednagar during the NSS special camp of Shri Gyaneshwar

Mahavidyalaya.

JANUARY 2015

31. Kritika Surya (BE E&TC), Shavita Koul (TE E&TC) and Rasika Tambe (TE E&TC) were

selected for the 3-day Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, organised by the MAEER‟S MIT School of

Government, Pune and the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad foundation from 10th

to 12th

January,

2015.

32. Kritika Surya (BE E&TC) and Rasika Tambe(TE E&TC) participated in blood donation

camp at MIT college on 10th

January, 2015.

33. 5 volunteers attended the “Road Safety Program” at Sadhu Vaswani Chowk on 12th

January,

2015 on account of road safety week organised by SPPU.

34. Street Play on „HARAWALI PAKHARE‟ (Bal Sudhar Griha) was performed by NSS

Volunteers at “Sinhagad Karandak” on 12th

January, 2015.

35. Rasika Tambe (TE E&TC) was selected for State Republic Day Parade Camp which was held

in Mumbai from 17th

January to 26th

January, 2015.

36. Volunteers also volunteered as a writer for blind students of various colleges for their exams.

37. Namrata Shinde (TE E&TC) was selected for „National Level Integration Camp‟ which was

held from 24th

January to 30th

January, 2015 at Mysore, Karnataka organised by Government

of India.

38. 10 volunteers performed a drama on “Harawali Pakhare” at the Jishin Annual Social

Gathering held at BVCOEW on 23rd

January, 2015.

39. 10 volunteers participated in celebration of 26th

January 2015 organised by NIRMAAN-

PARV MANUSKICHE at Gogalwadi on 26th

January.

FEBRUARY 2015

40. Apoorva Thackeray (SE E&TC) and Ashlesha Modhave (SE E&TC) were selected for

university level Water Management camp at Sangamner, Maharashtra from 5th

February to 9th

February, 2015.

41. 15 volunteers participated in singing, dance and street play program organised by the IETE

Student Forum on 2nd February, 2015

42. 5 volunteers participated in district level Self Defence workshop at S.P. College on 9th

February, 2015.

43. 30 volunteers along with P.O visited an orphanage OMKAR TRUST GURUKUL ASHRAM

at Gujarwadi on 14th

February 2015. Donation of clothes and grocery was given to them.

44. 30 volunteers along with P.O participated in TREKKING organised by P.O at TORNA Fort.

45. Neeta Khadtare (TE COMP) and Shubhangi Shengade (TE E&TC) were selected for

university-level “Rashtra-samrudhi sathi Gram Vikas” camp at Panoli, Ahmadnagar from 15th

February to 19th

February 2015.

46. 6 volunteers were selected for University Level “Swachh Bharat Abhiyanasathi Yuvak” at

Gangapur, Bhimashankar from 17th

47. Street Play on „HARAWALI PAKHARE‟ (Bal Sudhar Griha) was performed by NSS

Volunteers at National Level Technical Event “ALGORHYTM ” of PVGCOE,Pune on 18th

February, 2015

48. 100 volunteers participated in celebration of Shiv Jayanti at campus of BVPU on 19th

February 2015.

49. Street Play on „HARAWALI PAKHARE‟ (Bal Sudhar Griha) was performed by NSS

Volunteers at National Level Technical Event “BHARATIYAM” of BVP, Pune on 21st

February, 2015

50. 10 volunteers participated in blood donation camp organised by an emerging NGO named

NIRMAAN-PARV MANUSKICHE on 22nd

February.

51. 5 volunteers along with P.O participated in Workshop on Swachh Bharat at Jedhe College,

Pune on 23rd

February, 2015

52. Monika Paygude (TE E&TC) was awarded as the Best NSS Leader at University Level camp

“Swachh Bharat Abhiyanasathi Yuvak” at Gangapur , Bhimashankar which is to be held from

17th

Febuary -23rd

February 2015.

53. Shubhangi Shengade (TE E&TC) and Neeta Khadtare (TE COMP) participated in University

Level Workshop on Career Guidance at T.C. College , Baramati on 24th

February, 2015

54. Kritika Surya (BE E&TC) was selected for National Level Adventure Camp at

Narkanda,Shimla, Himachal Pradesh from 28th

55. Priyadarshini Chawan (BE COMP) and Pooja Chawan (BE COMP) were selected for

University level camp at Ramkrushna More College at Akurdi which was held from 2nd

58. Kritika Surya bagged A grade in skiing at National Level Adventure Camp at Narkanda,

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh from 28th

1)Shavita Koul (TE-E&TC) was selected for „National Level Integration Camp‟ which was

held from 22nd September to 29th September, 2014 at NSS Bhavan, Jnana Bharati Campus,

Bangalore University, Bangalore organised by Government of India.

2)Kritika Surya (BE E&TC), Shavita Koul (TE E&TC) and Rasika Tambe (TE E&TC) were

selected for the 3-day Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, organised by the MAEER‟S MIT School of

Government, Pune and the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad foundation from 10th to 12th January,

2015.

3)Namrata Shinde (TE E&TC) was selected for „National Level Integration Camp‟ which

was held from 24th January to 30th January, 2015 at Mysore, Karnataka organised by
