Our Mission: Mutual support The Association of Catholic Admissions and Advancement Professionals is a local network of professionals and volunteers who lead the admissions and advancement programs of Catholic schools in 11 dioceses in the six states of New England. Members also include heads of school, principals alumni and communications staff, school board members, pastors and volunteers from private, parish and diocesan schools. Programs and events normally are organized around the contributed services of members. The only funding ACAAP receives is through membership and program fees. Through ACAAP, professionals and volunteers discuss trends, participate in professional development, share resources and cooperatively address ways to assist Catholic schools in their efforts to sustain growth and financial stability. “Membership in ACAAP breaks the ice between ‘neighbors.’ No longer are you the only person of your kind in a school, now you have someone close by to call or meet with who can help you fit your challenges into a larger context or spark your imagination. The possibilities are limitless where people connect, listen and respond. Come, join us.” Christopher Merrill, ACAAP President Resources ACAAP offers: • Members’ admissions and advancement materials, programs, newsletters and brochures • Member Directory. Our VisionACAAP strives to become the preferred consistent, local source of professional development for Catholic school admissions and advancement personnel in New England. In large schools, the admissions and advancement programs may include multiple full time staff. In small schools, the functions may be shared by principals, teachers, counselors or volunteers. Regardless of the size of a school or the number of staff involved, effective admissions and advancement programs must be consistent and steady. ACAAP was formed by admissions and advancement professionals, lay and religious, who felt the need for peer support and accessible professional development opportunities. They formed a stable organization, not tied to any one diocese, that is constantly renewing itself to meet the changing needs of the times.

Networking EventsThroughout the year, members are encouraged to gather in their regions for informal conversations. If you are willing to host a Networking Event, please contact either: Kathrine Hastings Cecere [email protected] or Lynn Page Flaherty [email protected]. We will supply you with the contact list to invite other members in your area.
