Associations’ view on LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA 2012

Mr. P .K. Gupta, President - Indian Laser Association

“I am very happy to note that the organizers of ‘LASER World of PHOTONICS’, the world’s leading trade show for photonics, held biannually at Munich, decided to organize a similar trade show in India. This augurs well for the growth of photonics activity in India. LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA provides a useful platform for interaction between scientific and industrial communities. I wish it all success in the coming years”.

Mr. P. Radhakrishnan, President - Photonics Society of India “It was our great pleasure and honor to welcome delegates, exhibitors, speakers, international visitors and press members to LASER World of PHOTONICS, for the 1st time in India”.

Bishnu Pal, President of Optical Society of India and

Chairperson of the Seminar on Laser Basics and Applications “True to our expectation, LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA 2012 was a great success as could be judged from the comments received from the participants and also huge interest shown by the interested participants to attend the seminar, registration for which had to be closed as the space was not enough to accommodate the last minute requests. The seminar and exhibition stalls show cased the industrial and scientific expertise of India on Lasers and Photonics in general. Several exhibition stalls from abroad also attracted a lot of interests, which ignited keen interest to build up industrial collaborations with Indian companies involved with Lasers and Photonics. OSI is very happy with the overall gain achieved and would strongly support future endeavors of MMI to provide a platform of this nature to promote and sensitize Indian public on the usage of multifaceted applications and utility of lasers to society.”

What our Exhibitors say

Mr. Soumitra Joshi, Managing Director - TRUMPF India Pvt Ltd.: “We and the LASER World of PHOTONICS have been associated for a very long time now with the events at Munich and Shanghai. It has always been a good partnership with defined target group reach and high standards of execution. The India edition of the LASER World of PHOTONICS was planned and executed with excellence. The customer turnout as expected was targeted and up to the expectations. We had some quick opportunities discussed, which will convert into good returns at the earliest.”

Dr. Lalit Kumar, Managing Director - Laser Science: “The exhibition was conducted very professionally and the seminars on different scientific and industrial topics were added features. Being the first exhibition, the size was adequate and we could get some very good quality leads. We are pleased to exhibit here and could reap benefits in terms of new business opportunities with end-users, system manufacturers and laser companies across the globe. We look forward to the next show and will definitely participate there even in a bigger way.”

Dr. Arvind Patel, Managing Director - Sahajanand Laser Technology: “Asia has been a factory and a manufacturing hub which caters to the World demand. It is fast becoming a key market and a driving force in the field of Machine tool industry. With second largest population and largest growing economies in the World, India is becoming one of the best places to manufacture goods. Hence, India will need the laser technology for catering the needs of the industry.”
