SATELLITE CAFETERIA WORKER DEFINITION : Under supervision, is responsible for the food program at a satellite kitchen; and performs related duties as required. TYPICAL TASKS : 1. Receives the prepared food and stores it for heating and serving. 2. Performs simple food preparation as designated by the Supervising Manager of Food Services. 3. Orders milk, ice cream, and other staples as needed. 4. Responsible for portion control and the establishment of serving lines in an efficient pattern. 5. Maintains records and necessary information for financial accounting. 6. Performs inventories as required. 7. Performs necessary food serving and clean-up. 8. Maintains effective safety and sanitation procedures as established. 9. Supervises student helpers. 10. Performs related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Some previous experience as a cafeteria worker; ability to follow oral and written directions and perform simple arithmetical computations.
