SATAN’S ARMY PREPARES TO FIGHT There is a war between Jesus and the devil. As four trumpets sound, John sees the Christian church

persecuted and then corrupted by greed and the law-less-ness of church leaders in the Dark Ages times.

A fifth trumpet warns against atheism and a theory of evolution, which claim Creator God does not exist. Many people still believe in Jesus, so the devil is losing again. What can he do?

The sixth trumpet sounds. In Revelation 9, the devil tries to corrupt the church again. He hopes to destroy the growth of true Christianity around the world today. God gives His people a powerful message to fight Satan in Revelation 10. Then God explains why The Bible is the book for modern times in chapter 11. Finally, the seventh angel will blow the last trumpet announcing that God wins the war.

THE ANCIENT CITY OF BABYLON WAS ON THE RIVER EUPHRATES.

Soldiers from Babylon destroyed the Old Testament Church, the Jerusalem Temple, almost 600 years before Jesus was born. The river Euphrates flowed through Babylon. Revelation uses a picture of Babylon on the river to describe how the devil will try and destroy the New Testament church of God.

The riders’ clothes are the colors they speak. They speak what they wear. They speak and look like Jesus the true Priest, but their lies deceive many.

In Revelation 14:10-11, God says those who worship the beast are tormented by fire, smoke, and brimstone (sulphur). They think their prayers are offered at the gold altar for prayer, with its red

fire and smoke, but God won’t answer while they break His law on earth and teach people lies.

In Revelation 10-13 the devil copies the Holy Spirit fire, using miracles and a false Sabbath. He deceives the world by preaching a lie; that people have a soul which never dies. But sin leads to death.
