Celebrating an Eco Friendly Diwali

Students prepared slogans and posters for an anti-cracker rally and went around in the neighborhood, interacting with the children and parents, urging them to celebrate an ecofriendly Diwali. Coming back to school the students also went in the classrooms and educated their peers on the same.

Presentation on redesigning of city

In this Inter house competition- students discussed the problems faced by people in the city life due to unsustainable lifestyle and infrastructure and then came up with solutions to tackle the problems like pollution, population rise, disposal of garbage etc. through power point presentation, modules and graphical representation.

Students discussed the importance of national integration or 'rashtriya ekta'. They signify the concepts of secularism, anti-communal ideas, fraternity, and absence of discrimination.

Educational Trip to SHAR

At the historic Udupi Ramachandra Rao Satellite Centre, Bangalore, which is the lead centre for building satellites and developing associated satellite technologies, Students were given a rare chance to witness the making of the Chandrayaan-II. At the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR the students they were presented a short film explaining the history of ISRO. After this, they participated in a lecture by a scientist who worked on the Telemetry department.

BVN student visited Korea for 6 days –fully sponsored by Korean Cultural Centre India. He also met the Indian Ambassador to South Korea, Ms. Sripriya Ranganathan.

BVN student was invited to present a paper on 'Challenges of Nursing' in the 3rd International Meeting on ‘Nursing and Evidence based practice' held at Madrid, Spain under the category Young Research Forum. He has also been invited to prepare and present his paper on 'world health hazards' in Singapore and UAE.

November, 18 Educational and Fun Trip To Mumbai

The students went for an educational trip to Mumbai where they had a gala time enjoying the picturesque views of the Arabian Sea via the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link. On the second day, they visited the exciting Essel World and Water Kingdom, enjoying on a great array of adventure rides to and fro via a scenic ferry ride. They also saw the magnificent Gateway of India and Taj Hotel. The trip culminated with a visit to the heuristic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya followed by an edifying session at the iconic Bombay Stock Exchange on the last day which broadened their horizons.

Various activities like poster making, slogan writing etc. were conducted during this week. Students were given basic information regarding the topic to design a poster. Students composed creative slogans to spread awareness about deteriorating quality of air in Delhi.

Quami Ekta Week

As a part of the Quami Ekta Week, a Conservation Day activity was conducted in which students spoke about the immediate need to conserve the environment and the measures that should be taken for the same. Students also designed posters to increase awareness about environment conservation.

BVN BVN organised a non- competitive Musical and Dance workshop in which various reputed schools actively participated. The Chief Guest Mr. Santosh Nair motivated the participants and spoke about the importance of Music and Dance in one’s life.The other events of Art Conclave included Folk Art, Paper Sculpture, Clay Modeling, Best out of Waste, Pottery and Tie and Dye.

Ritsumeikan High School in Osaka

Students from 20 countries participated. Their team's research comprised of mineral ion concentrations favoring or disfavoring plant growth, hydroponics and soma clonal propagation and phyto toxins serving as natural plant growth promoters.
