INDIANS AND AMERICANS There was a lot of conflict between the
United States of America and the Native Americans.
Conflict started with the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, because more and more Americans were moving into the Indian’s land that they have owned for thousands of years.
Other conflicts occurred because the Americans didn’t understand the Indians’ culture.
Because of this Americans thought that the Indians were savages. So, they believed it was okay to take there land.
TRANSPORTATION REVOLUTION AND THE INDIANS.
The Transportation Revolution made it much easier to get to the Western side of the country because routes were made through the rocky Mountains.
The Native American Tribes thought that the Americans were destroying their land with these routes and tunnels.
