Identifies a quarter of residents moving in reduce their care package needs within 3 months of moving in
Residents have a lower likelihood to be admitted to hospital for an overnight stay
Extra care housing translates to fewer falls
Living within an extra care setting with a positive impact on health through changing care packages could potentially equate to a saving of £5,432 per resident per year
Our Impact
Develop new Extra Care housing schemes
Continue to provide services which enable older people to maximise their independence
Develop our learning and expertise with innovative methods of working with older people with Dementia
Our Inspiration – going forward
Our call for action: As we see an increasing population of people living
longer how do we build on our success of supporting people with
chronic illness and dementia to reduce hospital stays and maintain a
level of independence?
