GENERAL INFORMATION

This listing represents providers of alcohol and drug treatment services who contract with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services and are funded through the federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Block Grant. This provider listing is organized by region based on the where the home/corporate office is located. Many of these providers take treatment referrals from across the state. Also, many of the providers have treatment programs and satellite offices in locations other than the address listed in the directory. Please call the provider to determine the locations of their programs and their service area. The first step in receiving services is to contact the treatment provider and arrange for a client screening to determine if the individual is eligible to receive SAPT Block Grant services. If the client is eligible, the provider will arrange for a clinical assessment to determine the severity of the problems and the appropriate level of care. Following the assessment, based upon capacity to serve the individual, the provider will arrange for admission to their program or refer the individual to an appropriate provider.
