1. Change history

On 02-09-2011, HP part of the adapter (HP Enterprise Integrationmodule 2.6 for SAP applications) has been added. This has supportfor SAP Quality Center by HP 11.

On 16-06-2009, HP part of the adapter (HP Enterprise Integrationmodule 2.5 for SAP applications) was released. This has support forSAP Quality Center by HP 10.

On 09-03-2009, HP part of the adapter (HP Enterprise Integrationmodule 2.1 for SAP applications) was released. This adapterintegrates Incident Management in SAP Solution Manager with DefectManagement of SAP Quality Center by HP.

2. Prerequisites for the installation

o Required release depends on the version of SAP Solution Manager andSAP Quality Center by HP connected to each other.

o If you have SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP14, SP15, SP16 or SP17

present in the landscape, then you require

- HP Quality Center 9.2 (Patch 6 or later)

- HP Enterprise Integration module 2.0 for SAP applications

o If SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP 1 and above, you require

- HP Quality Center 9.2 (Patch 17 or later)

- HP Enterprise Integration module 2.1 for SAP applications

o If SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP 1 and above and SAP Quality Centerby HP 10 (Patch 4 and above) is present, you require

- HP Enterprise Integration module 2.5 for SAP applications

o If SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP 1 and above and SAP Quality Centerby HP 11 is present, you require

- HP Enterprise Integration module 2.6 for SAP applications

3. Preparing for the installation

o Install or upgrade to SAP Quality Center by HP 9.2 or SAP QualityCenter by HP 10 if not yet done.

o Read the Master Guide of SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAPQuality Center which can be found on service.sap.com/instguides

o To retrieve and install HP Enterprise Integration module 2.1 or 2.5for SAP applications open the Quality Center Add-ins page asdescribed in chapter Installing Quality Center Add-ins ofthe Installation Guide of HP Quality Center. Download HP EnterpriseIntegration for SAP applications and HP Enterprise Integration forSAP applications User's Guide from there.

o Open the HP Enterprise Integration for SAP applications User'sGuide. It contains instructions to install and configure HPEnterprise Integration for SAP applications. Read all the sectionscarefully before you start installing HP Enterprise Integration forSAP applications.

4. Executing the installation

o Install HP Enterprise Integration for SAP applications according tothe instructions in the User's Guide.

- Keep in mind that components of HP Enterprise Integration haveto be installed on each client from which you want to access HP

Quality Center (see chapter Setting up Enterprise Integrationof HP Enterprise Integration User's Guide).

- Use only fully qualified computer names for the HP QualityCenter server name, when calling Quality Center for a client,as only in this case the modules on the client will beinstalled correctly.

o To Install SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center byHP you have to download the SAP Solution Manager Extension Add-onST-QCA for SAP Service Marketplace. For details see note 1109650.

5. After the installation

Check note 1289155 for current issue regarding the configuration.

If you are upgrading from HP Enterprise Integration 2.0 to 2.1 or 2.5,follow the following steps:

o Activities in SAP Quality Center by HP

Verify in the Site Administration that HP Enterprise Integration isactive for your project. Please refer to the documentation of SAPQuality Center by HP.

o Activities in SAP Solution Manager

Migrate the existing content (Business Requirements) using thereport specified in the note 1409334.

Execute all configuration activites for the integration. Especiallyall the connection activities have to be redone, as some of theinterfaces have changed.

Reconnect all the Solution Manager projects which are linked to aQuality Center project.

If you want to directly install HP Enterprise Integration 2.1 or 2.5,follow the following steps:

o Activation of functionality

To activate the integration, the following actions have to be done

- in Solution Manager

To use this functionality the Enterprise Extension SM_QC_AD hasto be activated in the IMG of the Solution Manager System. Thisis done via IMG activity SAP SolutionManager->Configuration->Cross-Scenario Settings->ActivateSolution Manager Enhancements.

- in Quality Center

When you create a Quality Center Project, you have to activatethe Enterprise for SAP Applications Extension for each project.Details about this can be found in the section Enabling theEnterprise Integration Extension of the HP Enterprise

6. Language support

Quality Center does not support several languages at the same timein one installation. Please check the Installation Guide of QualityCenter for details
