You receive a message, stating that the table is a cluster table. Additional key words VBFA, upgrade, ACT_40B, VBFCL, clusters, SAPACCR40B, AD719, DA445 Cause and prerequisites The table VBFA was transparent in your system before the upgrade. You either created customer-specific secondary indices or views or an append structure for VBFA. These are activated during the activation phase in the upgrade. The table VBFA is delivered by SAP as a cluster table. For this reason it is not possible to define views or secondary indices on this table. However, it is only a temporary status during the upgrade!!! If you have made table VBFA transparent again and additionally appended your own fields using an append structure, then you must intervene before phase PCON. Otherwise, data might be lost. Solution It is only a temporary status of table VBFA. Since this table was by mistake delivered as a transparent table in Release 3.0B, it is handled in a special way during the upgrade. If you have created an append structure for table VBFA, you must make sure during the SPDD that table VBFA is transparent in the dictionary. Otherwise data might be lost!!! Providing you defined only views or secondary indices for the table VBFA and only these objects are displayed as incorrect in phase ACT_<target release> then you can exit the phase with 'Ignore'. If additional errors occurred, correct them and repeat the phase with 'repeat' until only the error concerning table VBFA is reported. Then continue with 'Ignore'. During phase PCON, table VBFA is automatically converted into a transparent table in the dictionary, providing this corresponds to the database status. The views and secondary indices are retained as well. Further actions on the part of the user are not required.
