1 Log in to the SAP system by entering your client, user id, and password.

What happens the first time you log in to the system?

2 From the main menu, follow the menu path Information Systems > Accounting >

Financial Accounting > General Ledger. Double-click on Chart of Accounts.

Click in the Chart of Accounts field. Select the Australian chart of accounts

(CAAU) from the pull down list. Click on Check. Click on Execute. Scroll through

the list of accounts. Return to the main menu.

3 From the main menu, follow the menu path Accounting > Financial Accounting >

General Ledger > Posting. Double-click on Enter G/L Account Document.

Use Company Code 2000. Click on Check. What is the purpose of this SAP

transaction?

Click in the Document Date field. Right-click your mouse. Name two ways to get

field level help on any field in SAP.

How is on-line help accessed from any screen in SAP? Access help for this

transaction. Return to Enter G/L Account Document.

Click on the left arrow at the bottom right of the screen. What information appears

here? Click on the little box. Identify the following:

System:

Client:

User:

Transaction:

Change the display to show the transaction code.

Can you leave a screen without entering the required data?

Return to the main menu.

What is the transaction code of SAP’s opening screen?

In the command bar at the top left corner of the SAP screen, enter ‘/nS000’. What

happens?

What is the difference between ‘/n’ and ‘/o’?

What command provides the same functionality as ‘/o’?

How many SAP user sessions can you have open at once?

How do you switch between them?

5 Use Extras > Settings to set Display Technical Names. Open out the main menu

to reveal the transaction codes.

What is the transaction code for Outgoing Payments (under Posting)?

6 From any SAP screen, follow the path System > User Profile > Own Data.

Click on the Address tab. Enter your Last Name (replace the userid), and First

Name.

Click on the Defaults tab. Write down the following defaults:

Decimal Notation:

Date Format:

Save your changes by clicking on Save on the tool bar.

7 Log off from SAP.
