What's New in This Release

Enhancement Description

Single email consolidation

● When there is a pause or end to a discussion for a feed item, a single email is sent with a consolidation of comments since the last email update on that item. The subject line of the email indicates the number of people who are commenting in the conversation. The email begins with a summary line and a link to the feed item.

● An email is no longer sent for each feed comment.● When one author uploads initial versions of multiple documents in the same time

frame, a single email is sent with a consolidation of activity.

Figure 38: Multiple document upload of initial versions from a single user

Immediacy of emails

● The frequency of “immediate” is now defined as an interval of several minutes between emails.

Single bulk copy email

● When multiple documents are copied at the same time, SAP Jam will send a single email notification and feed update, rather than individual feed items and emails for each item that was copied. The email lists each affected document and the author.

the group.

1.10 Tasks

Working with tasks has been made easier with pre-specified tags that help minimize or remove tag redundancy, a means to multi-select assignees and assign tasks to pending members, and more control over who can edit a task.

Enhancement Description

Task tagging ● You can now reuse existing tags (e.g., expertise, content, and forum post tags) and imported tags (e.g., via CSV upload or integration with the SuccessFactors Skills database) when adding tags to tasks. For example, when you start typing a tag for a task, a suggested list of existing tags will display in the Tag drop-down list.

3 Release RestrictionsThe following section includes details on known issues with SAP Jam for this release and offers workarounds until the issue can be resolved.

Known Issue Suggested Workaround

When users click on a SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C) business object in the feed (such as an Opportunity), the hyperlink maybe incorrect. Chrome users are redirected to an empty page while Internet Explorer users are redirected to a page with a HTTP response 400 (Bad Request).

Users can access C4C business objects by searching for them in the appropriate Work Centers in C4C. For example, to access an Opportunity, they can go to SALES > OPPORTUNITIES and perform a search. Alternatively, users can flag or bookmark their favorite business objects and access them via the SHELF in C4C.
