UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS Santo Tomas Scholarship Program España, Manila About the Scholarship The Santo Tomas Scholarship is named after the Patron Saint of the University, and is given to students with excellent academic performance. The application requirements and procedure are intended for incoming Grade 11 Senior High School applicants who are Top 1 or Top 2 Junior High School completers of the batch who wish to apply for the Santo Tomas Scholarship. The scholarship is renewable every term of the academic year. General Qualifications Benefits Must be Top 1 or Top 2 Junior High School completer of the batch; Must be qualified in the UST Entrance Test (USTET) for Senior High School; and For Private Junior High School completers: Must pass the Qualifying Examination for Scholarship to be administered by the Office for Admissions (OFAD). ( Please proceed to OFAD, located at the ground floor of the TYK Student Center, for the submission of requirements) For Public Junior High School, UST Junior High School and UST Education High School completers: Please proceed to the Office for Student Affairs (OSA) with the requirements for the scholarship application, listed below. (OSA is located at the 2nd floor of the TYK Student Center) (for Senior High School) TOP 1 - SHS TOP 2 - SHS 100% defrayal of Total Fees 50% defrayal of Total Fees NOTE: P.E. Uniform, Retreat, Review, Alumni, Graduation, and Out-of-State Fees are not included in the computation for scholarship discount For the renewal of the scholarship, the scholar must maintain an average grade of at least 89% with no grade lower than 80% and no failing grades in both academic and non-academic courses. Procedure for Application FOR THE QUALIFYING EXAM APPLICATION (FOR PRIVATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETERS ONLY) Bring and submit the following documents to the Office for Admissions (OFAD) For the Processing of the Scholarship Application All Qualified Applicants must bring and submit the following documents to the Office for Student Affairs: Santo Tomas Scholarship Application Form (form may be secured from the Office for Student Affairs); 1 copy of 2”X2colored ID Picture; Photocopy/Print-out of the UST Entrance Test (USTET) result for Senior High School; Photocopy of the UST Registration Form (if already enrolled); Photocopy of Confirmation of Enrolment Slip; Photocopy of the Junior High School Report Card; Original Certification from the school that the student completed Grade 10 as Top 1 or Top 2 of the batch (The schools dry seal should be affixed to the document); and Photocopy of the Certificate of Good Moral Character. The applicant should submit the accomplished and signed application form together with the complete requirements at least 3 working days before the Scheduled Day of Enrolment at the Office for Student Affairs, located at the 2nd floor of the UST Tan Yan Kee Student Center.
