Nature is highly Creative, and it expresses itself every were, such as The Sun, Moon, Stars, Planets, Earth, Ocean, Mountains, Plains, Jungles, Waterfalls, Plants, Flowers, Animals, Birds, Children etc,. As we are all nature’s creation, every one of us has “Creativity” by birth, few of us, express, many do not. Having committed to students community, Sankara wants to bring out the “Creativity” of Students and Teachers , in order to improve their communication skill, both ORAL and WRITTEN. Various opportunities for improvising the Oral and Written Communication skills, are built in, in the daily class room sessions, presentations, competitions, etc., but they are limited and channelized towards Syllabus, Examinations, scoring marks etc. To encourage and motivate the students “free thinking process” and the “expression skill”, Sankara has brought out this “In-house Journal”, EXPRESS”, a “ forum for free expression” .Every one gets delighted, when he or she sees his own creative ideas in Print or in Visual media, which makes him or her to express again and again. Human mind , by default, keeps on flashing hundreds of thoughts and ideas, continuously, It may be a joke, a concept, a picture, a solid point of view, a constructive anger, a message to others etc,. Let these emotions be get converted and expressed into article, poetry, essay, experience, review, tit-bit, recipe, joke, painting, rangoli and so on. When we are present in different situations and environments, our mind conceives all inputs and starts processing, but we are to learn to recognize and capture them instantly and start working on that to give a shape which becomes a “ Creative Presentation”. Sankara will receive such contributions gladly, and publish in this House Journal. This practice of free expression will take the students and teachers to different heights, such as doing Research, presenting papers, writing books etc,. Students and Teacher communities are requested to take this opportunity and grow along with the Organization.

Wishing you all the best.

HOD’s Message

R. W. Emerson voices, “ Every individual is an inborn genius”. Lack of demonstration of genius is attributed to lack of opportunities.

This infirmity is drawn a bottom line with the publication “ Sankara Express””, a Quarterly Journal” which provides a well set –platform for

Teachers, Research Scholars and Students to exemplify their innate potential across the discipline and issues. Thus Sankara Express’ makes

you expressive.

Inherent talent unexpressed is a crime,

But once expressed, will have magical power to effect the desirable social transformation.

Celebrate your inborn genius on the altar of the journal “ SankaraExpress” and Corroborate the progress of the society. Surfacing deep seated inherent potential is the best way of helping yourself and the world.

This journal, I strongly hope, bridges the world of academics and the world of reality culminating in the World –on – Campus

experience. I wish the journal” Sankara Express” to continue, its socially useful journey to be ever crowned with the glory and honor.

Barak Obama's recent visit to India had created a lot of expectations due to various reasons, especially when the new government formation by Prime minister Narendra Modi and his recent visit to US during Nov 2014. What is the importance of Obama's visit and its back drop? – let us review briefly. After Independence, first visit of US president DWIGHT D. EISENHOVER to India was in 1959, when India was seen as going the soviet way. Because of the visit of Jawaharlal Nehru to US in 1956, EISENHOVER doubled economic aid to India, other than which no significant thing happened at that time. RICHARD NIXON visited in 1969, when US was in close touch with Pakistan in view of help extended to them in 1962 war and Mrs. Indira Gandhi was struggling to exercise control in India, much attention was not given to Richard Nixon visit. JIMMY CARTER came to India 1978 when Morarji Desai was in power. The relationship did not improve rather got deteriorated. When Ronald Regan was President in 1980s both Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi made attempts to tie up relationships with US, but it did not click. Atal Bihari Vajpayee's relationship with Bill Clinton's democratic administration got strained after Pokhran's nuclear test. In 2000, BILL CLINTON's visit created awareness on good relations but difference persisted on economic sanctions. After 1998 Pokran nuclear tests, 2 areas boosted cooperation, which are "Energy" and "Environment". GEORGE W. BUSH came in 2006, who had paved way for India to get back into to the nuclear fold with civil nuclear cooperation pact. His visit helped us to create a framework for the current state of healthy bilateral ties. In 2005, Manmohan singh and George W. Bush came together and commenced civil nuclear cooperation between 2 nations. Many attempts were made in trade, defense, energy to climate change and education. Barak Obama visited in 2010 which was a successful one in the Business end and $10Billion deals were signed creating 54000 jobs but Obama got disappointed, due to Policy paralysis that gripped UPA government at that time.

In 2014 Barack Obama went out of the way to roll out the red carpet reception to Modi when the later went to attend UN gen-eral assembly. Obama had realized that the present India has crossed an ideological barrier in its dealings with US. Now Mr. Narendra Modi had completely forgotten the act of denying the Visa to him by Mr. Obama and forged a bond by betting on the US, as one of the India’s Principal partners. US leaders visiting India was very rare, so far only 6 leaders visited during the last 67 years. This is the first time, an US President taking part in India’s Republic day functions after independence. Ceremonial parade by a Woman Army Com-mander is yet another unique aspect, symbolizing India is for women empowerment. US Presidents visited so far, used to combine their Tour schedule, clubbing the visit to Pakisthan also, but Obama came to India exclusively, and returned back to Soudhi Arabia, which we all of us know Indo-American Nuclear Agreement, Ties in Trade, Economics. Satellite Towns, were finalized successfully. Issues on Pakisthan Terrorism were discussed and kept confidentially. Atomic Energy sharing is another area, which were mutually dis-cussed by two leaders with high level confidence In 2008, an Agreement was signed by the then Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh and George Bush, but implementation was not successful, due to the issues on compensating the loss on Atomic Furnace explosion and the rights given to US to test the Furnaces. These issues were discussed and sorted out for successful implementation. In view of the above, we can conclude that Obama’s visit is significant to India, which will speed up the ‘Developments in all spheres, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Natarajar, натарајар, "నట ా ", नटराजर, "நடராச ", "ನಟ ಾಜ", (Hindustani:

[nət̪əˈraːdʒə], The Lord (or King) of Dance), is a depiction of the God Shiva as the cosmic dancer. This dancing figure depicts Siva's five-fold activities of creation (embodiment), sustenance (preservation), obscuration (concealment), destruction (disembodiment) and enlightment (granting of bliss). The sculpture is usually made in bronze, with Shiva dancing in an aureole of flames, lifting his left leg (or in rare cases, the right leg) and balancing over a demon or dwarf (Apasmara) who symbolizes ignorance. It is a well known sculptural symbol in India and popularly used as a symbol of Indian culture.

NATARAJAR—நடராஜ - K.Thirugnana Sambanthan M.C.A.,M.B.A.,M.Sc.,M.Phil.[Ph.D.]

A cobra uncoils from his lower right forearm, and the crescent moon and a skull are on his crest. He dances within an arch of flames. This dance is called the Dance of Bliss, (Tamil: ஆன த தா டவ ) aananda taandavam.

The upper right hand holds a small drum shaped like an hourglass that is called a ḍamaru in Sanskrit. A specific hand gesture (mudra) called ḍamaru-hasta (Sanskrit for "ḍamaru-hand") is used to hold the drum. It symbolizes sound originating creation or the beat of the drum is the passage of time.

The upper left hand contains Agni or fire, which signifies destruction. The opposing concepts in the upper hands show the counterpoise of creation and destruction or the fire of life.

The second right hand shows the Abhaya mudra (meaning fearlessness in Sanskrit), bestowing protection from both evil and ignorance to those who follow the righteousness of dharma.

The second left hand points towards the raised foot which signifies upliftment and liberation. It also points to the left foot with the sign of the elephant which leads the way through the jungle of ignorance.

The dwarf on which Nataraja dances is the demon Apasmara (Muyalaka, as known in Tamil), which symbolises Shiva's victory over ignorance. It also represents the passage of spirit from the divine into material.

As the Lord of Dance, Nataraja, Shiva performs the tandava, the dance in which the universe is created, maintained, and dissolved. Shiva's long, matted tresses, usually piled up in a knot, loosen during the dance and crash into the heavenly bodies, knocking them off course or destroying them utterly.

The surrounding flames represent the manifest Universe. The snake swirling around his waist is kundalini, the Shakti or divine force thought to reside within everything. This also

parallels the cords of life worn by the Brahmins to represent the second rebirth. The stoic face of Shiva represents his neutrality, thus being in balance. The drum (udukkai) tapering towards its middle, in one hand denotes creation. The raised right hand with opened palm denotes sustenance. The fire on the left hand denotes destruction. The left hand pointing to this foot indicates that the Grace is our only salvation. Left foot is symbolic of His Grace. The thiruvasi, the circular frame around the image signifies Pranavam. The Saiva texts speak of fifty one Vannam(letters). These are denoted by the fifty one triangular projection on the frame. (Tamil is originally said to be with fifty one letters). In the temples, the image of Nadarajah is seen facing south. He bestows bliss and gives immortal or deathless life. The right foot standing on the dwarf (Muyalagan symbolising anavam) denotes obscuration. The left foot in the lifted position denotes enlightment.

THIRUKKURAL is one of the Ethical literatures Tamil, which was authored by the great saint ”Thiruvalluvar”in Ancient era, 2000 plus years back. It is divided into 3 major divisions, namely “Ethical, Economical and Pleasure full“. These each division contains chapters(38 +70+25), and each chapter is made up of 10 verses. Each verse is composed with 7 words, 4 at the first line and 3 at the 2nd line - uniformly in all the 1330 verses. Every chapter is called “ Athikara,” conveying a comprehensive summary on the Title, and each verse is called “KURAL”, with loaded words. To taste and enjoy the sweetness of the Thirukkural Ocean, a drop of sample is taken here , for discussion, which is on “ Stage Confidence, mostly wanted by all of us, especially the students and teachers, still more specifically by Orators, lead-ers and Management Students. The essence of each verse under Stage Confidence ( Avai Anjaamai”-721 - 730 ) is given below, and the readers can appreciate how they are relevant in to days context”( Communication Skill ), though they belong to 2000plus years: .

1. Scholars, who probed, assimilated, and gained clarity in knowledge, will not utter any wrong statements in the stage, senate, court or conferences.

These 10 verses give the ‘do’s and ‘don’ts’, how a scholar to prepare and how he should deliver with confidence,

and what sort of mental strength he should possess. Readers can observe that these principles are similar to modern Com-munication principles.

Each and every Athikara, conveys a solid message, which are highly relevant to not only the present times and also takes care of the future evolutional social changes too. Our admirations and salutes to the great saint ‘ Thiruvalluvar’

Stay away from Anger.. It hurts.. only You! If you are right then there is no need to get angry, And if you are wrong then you don’t have any right to get angry. Patience with family is love, Patience with others is respect. Patience with self is confidence and Patience with GOD is faith. Never think hard about the PAST, It brings Tears… Don’t think more about the FUTURE, It brings Fear… Live this Moment with a Smile, it brings Cheers. Every test in our life makes us bitter or better, Every problem comes to make us or break us, The Choice is ours whether we become victims or victorious. Beautiful things are not always good but Good things are always beautiful. Happiness keeps you Sweet.. But being Sweet brings happiness. Be happy always…
