Bolt on feet allows the crusher to be positioned in different angles and lowered down onto a mobile chassis or a steel structure.
Nip angle
Very important regarding the performance of the crusher. Sandvik have a nip angle between 16-23º.
Labyrinth and lip seals to prevent ingress of dust as well as a rigid one piece solid bearing housing for maximum reliability.
Bearings
Heavy duty deflector plate
Important, takes the heavy impacts against the shaft and bearing that occur during crushing. Also helps to direct the material into the crushing chamber.

Steel shim plates.
To prevent impact on the jaw stock and frame and protect against wear in the event of the jaw plates becoming loose. This is a cost effective insurance .
Replaceable support strips are easy to change if the support becomes damaged. Without this capability the whole jaw stock would have to be removed and repaired

Speed Higher speeds--- lower capacity---finer discharge. Lower speeds---higher capacity---coarser discharge.
Motor capability Relates to the strength of the frame and swing-jaw assembly
Feed arrangements Gape needs to be dimensioned to accept largest blocks.
Feed size capability Lack of protection plate will encourage heavy feed chute with corresponding reduction in feed size capability.
