Air pol-lution is a very seri-ous concern indoors.The U.S. Environ-mental ProtectionAgency lists poor in-door air quality asone of the top fiveenvironmentalthreats. It also re-ports indoor air isthree to five timesmore contaminatedthan outdoor air, onaverage. "When warmweather rolls around,and the natural thingto do is open upyour windows andbring new air intoyour house," saysMatt Mongiello, pres-ident of the NationalAir Duct Cleaners As-sociation. "However,this is when allergyseason is at its high-est, and you're wel-coming newpollutants into yourhome and contami-nating your air withpollens."
