Five Conversation You Must Have With Your Daughter
This Sunday night we will begin a new class entitled,
“Five Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter”. The
class will be led by Julie Peach and will begin at 6:00 p.m. This
study is written by Vickie Courtney and is a must for anyone
with a daughter! Tell your daughter the truth about life before
they believe the culture’s lies!
Discovery Class
If you are a new member or a visitor or if you have never gone through the
Discovery Class, then you are invited to join this class this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in
the church library! You will be blessed!
Let’s Grow Together!

Discovery Class Starts Sunday The Discovery class for new members and
prospects will kick off a new semester this Sunday.
They meet in the library each Sunday at 10 AM. I
really appreciate the work that Bob and Sandy Works
and Steve and Helen Vogelsburg put in to this class. As you heard in the
testimony that was given Sunday, “they feed you both spiritually and
physically.” They have a good time of Bible study and also enjoy some
good refreshments each week. If you have not gone through the discovery
class, you should try it this semester.

Hey Sand Springers, What a great time we had with the Mystery Trip! The
weather was great and the fellowship was even better. On Tuesday,
October 11th, we will be headed to Georgetown KY to Bi Water
Farms. You will be able to buy your pumpkins and such there and then we will head on
over to Cracker Barrel to eat lunch. Be sure and sign up so I can plan and let them know
how many to prepare for.
This Saturday is our Christmas Choir Retreat here at the church. If you are
interested in singing with us during Christmas you should try and be here for this
rehearsal. We will be splitting up into vocal sections in order to learn our parts. Then
we will come together and sing through it one time as a choir and see how much we
learned. I will be feeding you lunch and my plan is to be done by 1:00 if not earlier.
Can’t wait to see you there! Blessings, Ellery
The youth will be going to Winter
Xtreme in Gatlinburg, TN - December
27th - 29th. The cost is $130 and the
first payment of $50 is due by
September 28th. The cost covers one
meal (lunch), hotel accommodations
and Xtreme conference entrance.
Additional information to follow in
the coming months.
Wasn’t God good Sunday! He blessed us with a wonderful
testimony about the work of the Gideons, and then inspired us in
song from Tennessee Harmony that evening. In Awana the
children learned about Stranger Danger and that even though God
commands us to love one another and they still need to be careful
around people they do not know. A video message was presented on signs of
danger children need to be aware of. They learned they should never open the
door for strangers or allow themselves to be tricked into going with a stranger, to
maintain a safe distance from strangers, and to yell really loud if a stranger gets
too close to their personal space. Next week is Crazy Hair Night. All clubbers and
leaders can come with their hair fixed as weird or funny as they want.
Totes have been placed in the main lobby for candy donations for Trunk or
Treat. Many bags of candy will be needed for the hundreds of children that will
attend. A Children’s Committee meeting is schedule for Wednesday, September
28th at 6:00 in room G19. Plans for Trunk or Treat will be discussed and
assignments made. A sign-up sheet will also be placed in the lobby for volunteers
to help with parking and donations of chili, sandwiches, and desserts.
